think still life photography is a true representation of this quote by Ansel Adams. The images I make are always thought out to the smallest detail. The idea or vision one might say is often the hardest part, to make it come together as a story is the fun part after. My visions have no reason or explanations and it’s always hard to link it to reality because it has none. I love surrealism and beauty mixed together in an image, I think it makes the viewer look twice and wonder for a second. I just see
beautiful images and I create them, but I have always loved baking and decorating cakes, so this particular project is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I wanted the cakes to be as simple as possible, so I made them with one simple royal icing cover, and we had fresh and beautiful flowers to decorate along side the jewellery. The stylist chose the jewellery she thought was the best representations of the each brand selected for the shoot, to showcase the uniqueness of each designer.
