Faculty Highlights

Jen Boggess, social studies teacher; participated as an AP table lead and reader for AP subject tests.

Eric Eble, English teacher and department chair, was awarded 2nd place in the University of Notre Dame Teaching Human Dignity Contest. Applicants were challenged to develop instructional plans and materials that address life and human dignity issues to create a rich, powerful learning experience. He also participated as a reader for AP exams.

Jacquelyn Sommer, Visual

arts teacher and department chair, participated in the School for Art Leaders – a seven-month program focused on inspiring and preparing art educators to become active leaders of positive change in the field of art education. Jacquelyn was selected as one of 25 participants in this nationwide program.

Derek Williams ’91,

English teacher, received the Mission Award from Archbishop Moeller’s administration in honor of his work with the Marianist Community Development course and Vision Initiative.

Christine Brookbank, EdD, dean of academics,

was awarded the Edward F. Pajak, Jr. Award from Johns Hopkins University. The award recognizes an alumna/us of the School of Education’s EdD program, a school leader who has demonstrated visionary leadership through the application of progressive educational theory serving communities, families and youth.

Linda Zins-Adams, German teacher and world language department chair, served as question leader for the interpersonal written task for the AP German Language and Culture exam. She was in charge of the three different exam forms used domestically and interationally for the 2020/2021 school year.
