2023 - 2024 FALL SEASON OUTLOOKS
Soccer (Girls)
Lady Lex Soccer is looking forward to another big season this fall. Head Coach Buck Morton is entering his 7th season with the girls with an overall record of 58-38-12. Last season Lady Lex won their first District Title in 12 years and the girls are looking forward to building on that momentum in 2023. The team will be led this year by 10 seniors, Allie Parker, Makenna Arnholt, Addy Boyce, Olyvia Stoots, Mackie Weber, Sam Morton, Kaylee Brown, Maddie Hughes, Lydia Schroeder, and Zoey Morris. The girls had a rigorous and successful pre-season taking on some of the best teams in the state and beyond. Coach Morton is excited for the season and challenges ahead. He states, “we feel confident in our returning players with many of them being seniors. We look forward to once again using our depth and experience to put ourselves in a position to try and win an OCC title and again be in the mix to win another District crown.” Coach Morton added, “we know there is going to be a lot of high expectations for our team based on last year’s success, but we are going to just focus on each game as we play and try to improve throughout the season.” Lady Lex Soccer is excited to see everyone come out to the games and wish all the best to all the other Lex Fall sports teams. Be Great and Go Lex!

Soccer (Boys)
Coach Peter Them begins his 11th season in charge of the Boys Soccer Program. His 10-year record is 143-49-14. The team finished with a 15-5-1 overall record and finished 3rd in the OCC, with a record of 5-2 last fall. The boys finished their season in the Division II Regional Semis, with a 2-1 loss to Lima Shawnee. This year the team returns 13 seniors and 16 letter winners. He says the team's strengths are “experience.” His focus for improvement this season is “replacing the graduating pieces, filling those voids and getting everyone involved as early and often as possible.” He stated the team “needs to compete day in, and day out at practice.” “Our schedule is a grind both in and out of the OCC, thus we need to focus on getting better daily.” Coach Them concludes “We must quiet the noise and expectations, focus on our style and brand of soccer. With the core group of players returning, we have the capabilities to compete at a high level. We will have our growing pains, but we expect to play at the highest level and compete for championships! This senior class is extremely hungry to leave their own mark on this program!”
Tennis (Girls)
Coach Jansen Webster, and Hayliegh Tucker begin their second year as Lexingtons Girls tennis coaches. They return 6 Varsity players from last year. Their aim is to keep the Lexington tradition going and get an individual to state, and try to re-capture the OCC title that has been elusive in recent years. They are led by returning senior Jade Adkins, and Junior Malaina Wolfe.
Volleyball
Coach Janelle Wyant is beginning her fourth season at Lexington. Lady Lex finished 19-6 last year overall and 11-3 in the OCC to claim second place in the league. They fell to Vermilion in the Districts. Two seniors will provide excellent leadership in Kaylie Eichorn and Jenna Lehnhart. Lady Lex also returns Sophomores Ava Brown, Tatum Stover, and Bella Temple. Brown earned 3rd Team All Ohio Honors, 1st Team OCC and District 6 honors as a freshman. Stover was OCC 2nd Team and earned District 6 Honorable Mention honors, and Temple was OCC Honorable Mention as a freshman. All three are powerhouse players with extreme talent. Juniors Madeline Cramer and Savannah Wolfe, as well as sophomore Kylie Thorton round out the young team. Lady Lex has some big team goals this season and is thrilled to play in the new facility.
