We often have times in our lives when we are afraid of circumstances that come our way such as the death of a loved one, being rejected because you take a different point of view on atopic, you decide to leave an abusive relationship when people are telling you to stay or perhaps you were robbed at gun point and that traumatic experience left you with a void inside of you that you can’t seem to get over, or get past!

That traumatic fear can cause you to shrink into a shell, cave, house or even inside of your mind, which then causes you to reduce the very essence of who you are!

You find yourself keeping it bottled up inside of you and then you begin to hear negative voices bringing negative thoughts like, it was your fault, you caused that to happen, you’re not brave, you’re not meant to be anything, you can’t make it, you don’t deserve to live, & the bigger one, nobody loves you, not even God because you’re unlovable!

God gives you instructions on what to do to move you forward, but because of that traumatic fear you’ve experienced, you make excuses as to why you’re not fit to be used by God or even go on with life! 2 Corinthians

1:3-4 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Those negative voices are a trick from the enemy of your soul, that’s right I’m talking about the devil He causes the trauma, blames you for it, gets you isolated so he can filter negative thoughts into your mind, all because he wants to alienate you from your family, friends, church family and especially God! He would love for you to blame everything that happens in your life on God! Telling you: if there was a God He wouldn’t have allowed that experience to happen to you, well, let me tell you something Romans 5:8 AMP says “But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” With that said, not only is there a God who loves you dearly and more than anyone else ever could, but He’s right there with you no matter what you may have to endure in this life.

Because of the sin that is in this world and because of the evil that is sometimes inflicted on us, we blame ourselves for falling into the devil’s trap of affliction and then we become stuck on how to get out of it or how to handle it! Romans 8:38-39 AMP says “For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Which simply means, there is nothing that we can say, do, or experience, that will ever stop God from loving us so hang in there, because God is up to something!

In closing: o r t h ; W i l l y o u n o t b e a w a r e o f i t ?

#1. I’d like to encourage you to build your relationship with God, especially if you don’t have one with Him, so you may clearly hear His instructions and guidance from the Holy Spirit!

#2. Realize that the devil/Satan wants to keep you in the dark, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 AMP says But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Don’t allow the devil to distract you and keep you in fear mode any longer. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV says Fear not, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” That rascal doesn’t deserve to trick you Allow God to open your heart and mind towards Jesus!

#3. Trust that God is going to change your whole situation around. Isaiah 41:10 AMPC says Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. I’d like to encourage you, read the Bible, listen to gospel or contemporary Christian songs & allow God’s Word and those songs to invigorate your spirit!

#4. If you need to see a Christian Counselor, please do so, don’t allow your pride to prevent you from getting the help you need and just in case it’s in your mind that counseling makes you crazy, that is not true, they will give you with navigational tools to help you move on from the trauma and be at peace.

#5 Pray and ask God to help you see yourself the way He sees you and to help you love yourself again so God may move you towards the promise and plan He has for your life! Hang in there because God is up to something!
