Summary:

The athlete recovery center is a project where the site sits on a public park near the center of Canterbury. The center serves as a well being retreat to help patients with any sports related injuries. The site of the project plays a very important roll to how the building is played out. The entire landcape is entirely sloped downwards, and is fully surrounded by trees. The building follows this slope to guide users down the path, or experience of the building. At the bottom of the slope bodies of water, and landscaping create a micro climate that allows users to use the building and its surrounding all year round more comfortably. The project focused on landscaping to help enhance the overall site experience of users of the building, and how shaping the landscape in a way to help improve the overall usability of the building.
