OVERVIEW Architecture is more than merely the science of construction and design but rather has art as its soul; creativity and knowledge are two important factors in my opinion to shape architects, resulting in a poetic view point towards enhancing our architecture and with it the lives of many, such strong views can be evidently seen by the words of many great architects and I would like to conclude with this quote of Louis Kahn :
“The sun never knew how great it was until it struck the side of a building.”

BG 2050 is about creating the Berlinische Gallery of the future ; It is Museums and Galleries Functional destiny to deal with time as Orhan said “A real museum is a place where time is transformed into space “ (Pamuk, 2008) . The Name BG 2050 suggests that the objectives are comprised under two parts: The Gallery as a typology, and the imagining of the future projection of such typology, which underlines the importance of contextual positioning as well as the effect of such typological development on the Gallery character and the users experience , while highlighting the process of preserving and storing Historical and contemporary Artifacts.

Concept A museum’s purpose evolved vastly during the last few centuries as not only a holder and an exhibitor of artifacts, but encompassing other roles of enlightenment, however such wide ranging activities has brought reduction to some primal characteristics of the Gallery, leaving more than 80% of their collection away from its visitors and even researchers in huge concentration depots off grid (Gardner,2007) ,this study will explore the possibilities towards integrating and expanding the relationship between Exhibition spaces and Depots, and the role such strategies will play on the museum’s future characteristics and spatial configuration.

Based on the speculations made in the first chapter the program requirements have been changed , as the current trends of behavior continues more spaces of storage will be needed but as well it will be more approachable , which is why there’s an increase in exhibition area , more public spaces and events should be included in a museum that cares about its society which will contain outdoor activities as well see (Figure 69) , looking at (Figure 68) a reduction in offices is proposed as technology develops to reduce the need for many Jobs , while the proposition of reducing education is to merge parts of it with event spaces as well as cafe and public areas of the museum , without forgetting the need to store Digital art as a new medium which formed the need for the data center .

01 Berlinische Gallirie If exhibitions are always located on top and depots at bottom it would make a stronger impact to send the story of preservation if the tip of the iceberg get flipped , and we get to see the depot rising proudly within the city , telling the story of humanity and gathering people to wonder its position .while the exhibition reclaim the underground and get reborn again and again and again .

Visiting the site you can’t but notice the amount of beauty that you can stumble upon in the poetic abandoned spaces where nature is reclaiming its place through the old parts of the factory and creating this interplay of the old and the new the natural and the industrial . Developing a residential project comes with many challenges which can be summed in 3 main points that can lead the design approach to enhance the user experience and connect the city as well as profit the investor .

Tessellation Calibration
While modeling cube Berlin we were faced with a big issue regarding modeling the facades , then after finishing the mass and trying multiple methods to tessellate the facade it was troublesome as the program identified different normals to create the grids which in turn created more work to try and make them work on the same grids all over the facade faces , and I’d like to try to figure an automatic way to create them easily without all this much work .

Vertical gardens is a concept came out while thinking about a designing a one whole, creating the pots, the furniture, the structure, the landmark,.......etc all in one form and soul. A thought of a place where students can find their own space; a place where their freedom can be brought at any time by just stepping these few steps, by creating a mass of seats, plants ,...etc like a jungle men trying hard to manipulate only for it in the end to conquer its own place (a mass of wood subtracted based on the needs without eliminating the elements of nature and time ).
