Architecture is my passion and obsession. I do not want to design a building for people to live in, I want to create an environment that will elevate people’s mind and society. I believe that architecture has the power to inspire, to elevate the spirit, to feed both the mind and body. It is for me the most public of the arts. Richard Meier I believe each city in the world has an identity that is formed by history. My philosophy when I design is to create the space according to the place. Therefore, I design traditional architecture that is driven by modernity and inspired by nature to respect the city’s identity and culture.

Tradition is a very important identity for any city, but sometimes people and governments do not consider their culture and do not seem to care if they lose their character. In this thesis, the author will study the urban fabric of the old part of Jeddah City, Saudi Arabia. By analyzing the existing houses and the architectural elements that characterize these traditional houses in old Jeddah, the author will be able to create a design using traditional elements while adapting new materials and methods of construction. This investigation will help the author to revive the region’s heritage and make new houses with traditional architectural elements. By saving the traditional architecture for the citizens and for the future generations, a sense of identity and country will remain.

The main focus of this 30,000 s.f., 3-4 story branch library project is to encourage the fast-pace dissemination of information. The typical American branch library has evolved into a community icon for many cities and Savannah, Georgia is no different. The proposed Kensington Park branch, part of the Live Oak Library System, will support a variety of functions 7 days a week with extended hours as needed for community activities. Space considerations include a 100 seat community activity space, children’s space including a story time area, teen’s space, adult’s space, digital collection, general operating spaces, indoor and outdoor social spaces, parking and pedestrian considerations. This project has been developed in consideration for the 2012 ASHRAE student design competition in the Integrated Sustainable Building Design category.

This project also focus on the process of making and creating the space by the place. By pinking a site next to the woods, the surrounding area inspired me to design a building that reflect the rural environment. Moreover, the project location makes me deal with trees and how to create shade and shadow in my elevations. Also as a place where the country music started, rhythm and hierarchy played a part to form this building.

This architectural proposal was to design a culture center in Makkah to serve the community. The culture center aims to educate the society and help to rise the intellectuall, cultural and civilization of the people in Saudi Arabia. The main idea in this proposal is to design a flexibla spaces that can be used by men and women in the same time, and using all the building functions without having to mix becuase one of the most important issues in the saudi culture is to divide between men and women. Using the islamic pattern in the elevations, make the building reflect the city identity.
