About our partnership

Last September, Mohawk College, in partnership with triOS College, officially opened a new, stateof-the-art campus in the heart of Mississauga. The new campus was a major milestone in a partnership that began in 2021.

Easily accessible in the heart of Mississauga, the campus offers International students the opportunity to earn a Mohawk College credential in fields such as Business, Technology, Early Childhood Education and Supply Chain Management while remaining in the Greater Toronto Area. Graduates are also eligible for post-graduate work permits allowing them to remain in Canada following their studies.

“The Mohawk College Mississauga Campus allows us to more quickly expand our programs and serve more students at a time when the community, and the province, has an acute need for a trained workforce,” said Mohawk

College President and CEO Ron J. McKerlie. “We are looking forward to growing together with triOS College so that more and more people can attain a well-earned and well-respected Mohawk College credential.”

“The opening of this campus in partnership with Mohawk College represents a great opportunity for international students studying in the heart of Mississauga”, said triOS College CEO Frank Gerencser. “Students are able to leverage the high-quality, hands-on education that triOS is known for and graduate job-ready for careers in Business, Technology, and Supply Chain Management.”

Mohawk’s partnership with triOS was established through a Binding Policy Directive from the Ontario government in December 2019, which allows for contractual arrangements between public colleges and private colleges.

THE COLLEGE

Mohawk College has grown to be one of Canada’s leading colleges. Mohawk’s history began in 1947 with the establishment of the Provincial Institute of Textiles which was transformed into the Hamilton Institute of Technology (HIT) in 1957. Ten years later, in 1967, the HIT was incorporated as the newly established Mohawk College, one of 24 Ontario colleges.

Today, Mohawk College proudly delivers a quality education and college experience to over 30,000 full-time, part-time, continuing education and apprenticeship students. THE LIRIPIPE

The liripipe is a European medieval symbol of academic achievement dating back to the 8th century. It marks the achievement of excellence according to each student’s chosen program and symbolizes their membership into the international community of scholars.
