WizzAir Sustainability Livery Design Competition
Wizz Air strives to be the greenest choice of air travel. The airline operates the lowest carbon emissions per passenger/km in Europe and encourages travelers to look for the facts and the technology of today, instead of vague promises for the future.
An integral element of Wizz Air’s sustainability strategy is the renewal of its fleet. The airline has been continuously adding the most modern Airbus A321neo aircraft to the fleet whilst replacing its older aircraft. Airbus A321neo has the lowest fuel consumption per seat-kilometre in its category today, which leads to lower CO2 intensity. Currently, Wizz Air operates the fleet with an average age of 4.6 years, well below the average age of its major competitors, which is around 10 years.
