Available in wire-to-board and wire-to-wire configurations, Nano-Fit Power Connectors deliver fully protected header terminals in a compact size and provide many feature options to ensure proper installation and excellent reliability in tight spaces. Blind-mating interface (BMI) options are now available in both wire-to-board and wire-to-wire configurations. BMI is a self-aligning interface that enables the operator to mate connectors in hard-to-reach areas such as drawers or fan assembly trays, and connectors that require mating and un-mating without a visual. Doing so can cause damage to the connector and/or terminal and consume valuable labor time. In addition, Molex has also released Nano-Fit gold flash terminals. The gold flash plated terminals have a reduced mating force of 50% vs the standard tin-plated terminal. This improves the ergonomics through lower connector mating force, which reduces operator fatigue during assembly. The gold plating also improves corrosion resistance.
