This thesis project is an architectural design proposal for an interdisciplinary production centre for art and culture, situated in the southern region of Copenhagen.
The project explores the boundaries in which performative architecture combined with qualities of modern and vernacular architecture and urban design can generate creative and inspiring atmospheres.
By working with transparency and the distribution of activity, the performative qualities of the production centre are emphasized, and the building thereby becomes a place that both features good working facilities and a place where these activities are displayed as scenographical elements.
Thus the building program is separated into two layers: A working and a visiting layer, constituted on the ground floor and an open platform and bridge landscape on the first floor. The working layer features three workshops of respectively wood, metal and casting, a material shop and an administrational unit. The visiting layer consist
