As the weather begins to warm up and the days get longer, it’s the perfect time to focus on your fitness goals and get back into a healthy routine. With Easter just around the corner, we’re excited to offer some fun and eggciting ways to stay active and engaged with our workout programmes, personal training and classes. Hello, my name is Andrew and I’m the owner of Manner Borne Chauffeur Services Ltd.
August 25th 2020. I took over this company from its previous owner who started the company in 2001 in Cheshire and wanted to retire. Myzone is a wearable activity belt used to record your exercise effort (rather than fitness), so it doesn’t matter if you’ve been training for years, or are just dipping your toes into it. It’s based on your individual stats and is accurate (equiv. to an EKG at 99.4%). This means that it’s a level playing field for all (think of it as a golf handicap!)
By using Myzone you will be encouraged to reach those activity levels that give you the results you want and be rewarded for it!

Menopause is a natural process that marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years. It typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 and can bring about a host of changes in a woman’s body. These changes can be both physical and emotional and can include symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and difficulty sleeping.
As a member of our health club, it’s important to understand how menopause can affect your fitness journey and what steps you can take to stay healthy and active during this time.
One of the most significant changes that occur during menopause is a decrease in oestrogen levels. This hormone plays a crucial role in bone health, and as oestrogen levels decline, women are at an increased risk of developing osteoporosis. To combat this, it’s essential to include weight-bearing exercises in your fitness routine. Activities such as weightlifting, jogging, and dancing can help build and maintain bone density.
Another common symptom of menopause is weight gain, particularly around the waistline. This can be frustrating for women who are used to maintaining a healthy weight. However, it’s important to remember that weight gain is a natural part of the aging process, and it’s not something to be ashamed of. To combat this, focus on a healthy, balanced diet that includes plenty of whole foods and lean protein. Incorporating strength training exercises can also help increase muscle mass and boost metabolism, making it easier to maintain a healthy weight.
Finally, menopause can also impact mental health. Mood swings, anxiety, and depression are all common during this time. Exercise is an excellent way to alleviate these symptoms. Even moderate exercise can release endorphins, which can improve mood and reduce stress levels. Yoga and meditation can also be beneficial in reducing anxiety and improving overall mental health.
In conclusion, menopause is a natural and unavoidable part of the aging process. However, with the right tools and resources, women can navigate this transition guidance. By incorporating weightbearing exercises, maintaining a healthy diet, and prioritising mental health, women can stay active, healthy, and happy throughout this phase of life.
