Do you know
WHAT IS BCP? HOW TO HELP SOMEONE IN AN
EMOTIONAL CRISIS?
A GREAT HSE MONTH:
SUCCESS!
What is
BCP
AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
During the last months you may have heard several times about the BCP but‌ what is the BCP and why is it important? At MDLZ, we make sure that our ability to conduct business is not interrupted by events ranging from environmental disasters, such as flooding or earthquakes, to human actions, such as cyber-terrorism or civil unrest. These events can have a significant impact on our ability to do business. Although these events may not be common, it is important that the company can respond appropriately when they do happen. The Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a set of documented procedures and resource information needed to manage a business interruption. It also contains summaries of key decisions and plans that are necessary at the time of a crisis which are administered by our Crisis Management Team (CMT) led by Yojana Hidalgo. Even though we have the CMT to activate the appropriate protocols in case of a crisis, we are all responsible to understand what needs to be done in case this type of situation arises. That is why, during the 1st Quarter of the year you were requested to complete the BCP Training: Business Continuity Planning @Mondelez.
We are proud to say that IBS Costa Rica was the first site globally on having completed the course and have around 90% of its population already trained‌ Kudos to all of us! In case you would like to know more about the BCP or become a BCP Champion for your workstream, you can contact your leaders or the BCP Coordinator, Ileana Rodas, directly.

ONE VERY HELPFUL
month!
In the month of May, we enjoyed many activities related to health, safety, environment, and quality. We started the month with the visit of TÃa Maricucha and Cabo who came to remind us we must do things the right way at the office, home, and in the road because #theyarewaitingformeathome Many of us took advantage of medical check-ups like optometry, influenza vaccination and gastroscopy, as well as talks and courses that provided new knowledge. We also enjoyed very good music at El Spot and the 2nd edition of the Cooking Contest with delicious recipes.
