Storylines has announced further details of the public spaces aboard MV Narrative, a residential cruise ship slated for completion in 2023. Having partnered with Tillberg Design of Sweden to draw up the architectural blueprint for the vessel, the Florida-based company has now revealed plans to introduce more open-air venues for al fresco dining and socialising – a coveted commodity in recent times as evidenced by recent surveys to the resident community.

“Our owner residents want to be able to sleep outside under the stars, watch outdoor movies, play pickleball on an open deck, walk their dogs and dine al fresco,” says Irina Strembitsky Sales Director at Storylines of the modifications. “We were able to deliver on all of their requests including private leasable office spaces for our executives and entrepreneurs.”

New amenities include an infinity-edge Jacuzzi, a golf simulator, Bali beds and an outdoor cinema, as well as a bowling alley, pet-walking promenade, meeting rooms and shared and private workspaces. The updates also incorporate additional crew areas and a reconfiguration of the marina deck to accommodate tendering for shore landings.

To make way for the new facilities, Storylines opted to add an entire new deck bringing the total to 18, and reduce the number of residences available for purchase from 627 to 547, thereby decreasing the volume of passengers on board. Some of the smaller suites have also been remodelled to create 84 larger accommodations that meet the needs of today’s remote workers and families.

“Storylines is an innovative brand that pushes the boundaries of what a home-at-sea can be, which is very inspiring for us as designers and much sought after amongst modern cruise guests and yacht owners,” says Stefan Nilsson, CEO of Tillberg Design of Sweden. “We can’t wait to get on board.”
