Ahead of the long-awaited debut of Evrima, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced the expansion of its fleet with two new superyachts, Ilma and Luminara, slated for delivery in 2024 and 2025.
Constructed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the vessels reaffirm the group’s commitment to sustainability, with enhanced features that significantly reduce emissions and minimise environmental impact.
Finland-based yacht stylist Aivan has developed the exterior profile of the ships, taking inspiration from the sleek aesthetic of private yacht design, while DPA will take the lead on the lighting scheme, and AD Associates on interiors. “It’s both an honour and a privilege to design the interiors for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s newbuild superyachts,” says Chris Finch, Founder and CEO of AD Associates. “Immersing ourselves and working alongside the brand, we are taking great care to learn more about the iconic touchpoints that The Ritz-Carlton is famous for, and to ensure a successful transition on board.”
Both Ilma and Luminara will feature 228 suites, each with its own private terrace, and in an evolution of Evrima, there will be two new premium categories boasting up to 100m2 of indoor and outdoor living space. Public areas include five restaurants, six bars, a wine vault and spa, as well as signature venues found on Evrima, such as an expanded marina with a new mezzanine feature.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has also revealed that it has the option for additional vessels with its partner shipyard. “We are thrilled to work with Chantiers de l’Atlantique on the development of our second and third superyachts, Ilma and Luminara,” explains CEO Douglas Prothero. “They are a likeminded organisation that is committed to excellence and a custom quality process and programme that will help execute our vision as we thoughtfully expand our portfolio.”
