Preface 序 "$" has always been an attractive sign to many of us, especially in Hong Kong, a materialistic small urban place. It could be a core value of HK people. Yet, the money philosophy of everyone has a different value on their minds. For example: to investigate the relationship among happiness, satisfaction and money. Also to take a journey to see “money” in other aspect e.g music and art, how these aspects portray money. What $ can and can't do? How does it come from? How important is it? Does everyone have a price? Does wealth equal to success? How much money is to be considered "much"? Is it realistic or just conceptual? To discuss “Money vs. Ethic” with audience, trigger an invitatory experience to think and re-think what “money” is on their mind.

Not quite. It sure can make your life easier but true happiness. Happiness, is the state of your mind. In fact, what usually happens is more like the other way around: if you are rich and happy from the inside, you will then be able to attract more money on the outside.

Consumerism, which suggests that personal happiness are from the

consumption and purchase of material possessions. The belief that money, possessions and physical comforts are more important than spiritual value, typically happens in a capitalist society.

Materialism as a philosophy suggests that existence is explainable solely in material terms, with no accounting of spirit or consciousness. The theory or attitude that physical well-being and worldly possessions constitute the greatest goal and highest value in life.
