Complete Workflow With Xedio you can ingest feeds and import media quickly and efficiently, attach metadata for easy searching, as well as create and edit on a timeline. Playout management lets you control playout channels giving complete organizational control over your production. Reduce time from ingest to playout through direct playout mode, without file rendering and direct editing while ingesting. Xedio Flash covers all aspects of an end-to-end News workflow.
Format Agnostic Solution For fluid news production with multiple sources, Xedio Flash can work transparently with mixed format material (e.g. mixing long GOP and I-frame-coded material) from ingest to playout. For instance, Xedio’s ability to use SD and HD files on the same timeline during program-building, means that no time is lost in transcoding operations.

Using the Xedio I/O Encoder, any SD or HD feed can be recorded in high- and low-resolution onto the central storage. Live feed ingest and file import in multiple formats can be controlled manually or automatically via Xedio Ingest Organizer. High resolution and proxy media files are simultaneously generated by the system and are instantly available for editing. All ingested feeds (including News feeds or international feeds for sport) can be controlled and monitored from a single station.
As a player, Xedio I/O is able to play Xedio EDL’s in real time, with no need for file rendering prior to playout. Xedio Playout Organizer is provided for fast playlists creation and control.
T imeline Editing with Xedio CE Xedio’s virtual editor software offers unmatched HD/SD editing capabilities with a simple interface. Optimized for news production, it supports multiple formats and resolutions on the same timeline, with real-time, on-the-fly visualization of the final output edit. Xedio CE also offers extended media management capabilities with powerful search and data filtering modes. It can be configured to work in high or low-resolution.
Central Storage Xedio Flash is equipped with a dedicated high-performance, highly robust NAS storage with easy extensions capabilities. The storage is shared by multiple users, ensuring efficient cooperative production as soon as ingest starts.
