We had some technical difficulties making this newsletter. Sorry it is so late! We will have another one tomorrow sharing all the fun your children had at PDO this week. I hope it isn't too late to say Happy New Year!!!
This week in the butterfly room we talked about winter! We had white playdough with glitter, fake snow in the sensory table and we had a very cool ice skating rink that the children could pretend to ice skate on. We made snow wreaths, glue and glitter snowflakes and also made snowflakes with marshmallows. We talked about the calendar and weather too! Next weeks theme is arctic animals have a great weekend !!
The caterpillars welcomed everyone back to school this week! In accordance with our new curriculum, we are allowing children time to have individual exploration and instruction within our classroom setting. We have also arranged our classroom into more distinct learning centers, which the children are enjoying immensely. We are still doing fun things as a group as well. On Tuesday, we took advantage of the warmer weather and took a nature walk. We collected various items for our science table, but decided to paint with the pine needles! With the colder weather, we discussed hibernation and pretended to be sleeping bears in a cave. We also read the book, Sleepy Bear!
I spy with my little eye…….
Starting out the New Year with lots of fun!!!
