Parent’s Day Out Childcare Center
PDO Press From the Office Signing in and out.: While we have always had a sign in and sign out procedure, it is very important that you do this daily. PDO is funded partially by government assistance and in order to continue to receive that funding they are asking that we have parents sign in and out daily on their official forms. Please remember to sign your children in and out daily. Thank you!
You must have an extra pair of clothes for your child on hand every day.

Butterfly Classroom News This week we talked about summer! We made watermelons, flowers, ants, and ice cream cones. We had beans in the sensory table to practice measuring. We also practiced days of the week, months of the year, and spelling our names. Next week we will continue with our Summer Fun unit. Have a great weekend!

Caterpillar Classroom News July promises to be super fun in the caterpillar room with our monthly theme of Balls, Balloons and Bubbles! This week we dropped ping pong balls into paper tubes, played with fly swatters and balloons, threw balls into buckets , and blew lots of bubbles to create colorful bubble prints! Then we used the ping pong balls to roll in paint and the fly swatters to swat with paint! Our favorite song was " Take Me Out to the Ballgame! " We ate popcorn for snack and used our fine muscle skills to pinch cotton balls with tongs and put them into popcorn containers! We also had a great time on our field trip to the Huntley park!

Vacation Day Request Form Must be turned in one week prior to requested vacation days
Today’s Date: ______________________________
Child’s Name:_______________________________ Parent’s Name: _____________________________
Date(s) requesting for vacation: ___________________________________________ VACATION DAYS/ EXTENDED LEAVE POLICY: Parents will receive five (5) days of vacation after six months of continuous care at PDO. Vacation days will renew each year on January 1st. You are not required to pay for these days. A Vacation Day Request Form must be filled out and turned into the office one week prior to requesting vacation days. These forms can be found in the office. In the event of an extended leave of absence (a period greater than two weeks), families will forfeit their 5 days of vacation. If you choose to have your child take an unpaid leave of absence (i.e. summer vacation) you will then run the risk of losing your child’s spot in the classroom. Unpaid spots will not be held throughout the summer or any other extended period. We cannot guarantee that there will be availability in your child’s classroom after an unpaid leave of absence. If you do not want to risk losing your child’s spot, you are responsible for paying tuition during the leave of absence whether your child attends the center or not. Families that are on a wait list or wish to enroll will fill unpaid spots in classrooms. Families returning and re-enrolling after an extended leave of absence are required to pay a discounted registration fee of $25 upon re-enrollment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For office use only: Received: __________________________________ Approved: _________________________________
