Butterfly Classroom News This week we talked about sail boats and water play. We did a lot of fun water activities like using water sticks, having sailboats in the water table. Using cups in the water table to learn abut measurement activity for the children. We made frozen sailboats to see if they float and we also made paper plate sailboats to decorate the hallway bulletin board! Please check it out it!! It is adorable!! We also practiced spelling our names, tracing the letter b, counting and our colors this week!!! Ask your child about the book, “The Day the Crayons Quit�, the kids really enjoyed the book have. We hope you have a great weekend !!
Caterpillar Classroom News This week the caterpillars had a splashing good time! We celebrated the arrival of summer with a pool party! The children loved jumping and splashing in our baby pools and running through the sprinklers! We fished in our water table, sang row , row, row your boat and 1-23-4-5 I caught a fish alive! We created awesome sand castles with puffy sand, shells and gems! We painted our feet to make adorable flip flop art! We also read the Creation story from our children's bible and discussed how God created the world and everything and everybody in it and how much God loves us!

Ladybug Classroom News This week the babies played and went for a few walks! It was a busy week. The kids love eating lunch with their friends. Happy Birthday to Neveah whose 1st birthday was this week!

It is getting HOT outside.. What better way to cool down with your kids than with HOMEMADE FREEZER BAG ICE CREAM!!! Ingredients 1 Cup half and half 2 Tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 Cup coarse sea salt Ice Sprinkles (optional) Gallon and quart sized freezer bags Directions: 1. Fill a large (gallon) Ziploc bag halfway with ice. 2. Add sea salt to the bag. 3. Pour half and half, sugar, and vanilla into the smaller (quart) freezer bag and seal. 4. Place the small Ziploc bag in the larger bag, seal the larger bag, and shake for 5 minutes. Tip: Try singing Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off while you do this… it’ll help the time pass. 5. Vacation Day Request Form Must be turned in one week prior to requested vacation days

Date(s) requesting for vacation: ___________________________________________ VACATION DAYS/ EXTENDED LEAVE POLICY: Parents will receive five (5) days of vacation after six months of continuous care at PDO. Vacation days will renew each year on January 1st. You are not required to pay for these days. A Vacation Day Request Form must be filled out and turned into the office one week prior to requesting vacation days. These forms can be found in the office. In the event of an extended leave of absence (a period greater than two weeks), families will forfeit their 5 days of vacation. If you choose to have your child take an unpaid leave of absence (i.e. summer vacation) you will then run the risk of losing your child’s spot in the classroom. Unpaid spots will not be held throughout the summer or any other extended period. We cannot guarantee that there will be availability in your child’s classroom after an unpaid leave of absence. If you do not want to risk losing your child’s spot, you are responsible for paying tuition during the leave of absence whether your child attends the center or not. Families that are on a wait list or wish to enroll will fill unpaid spots in classrooms.
