This week we had fun blasting off into outer space!. We marble painted with red to make stars and sand painted to make our own planets. We made suns and puffy painted moons. We had beans, measuring cups and spoons in the sensory table. We had fun practicing our days of the week and months of the year and also practiced writing in our journals. The children had a great time doing jobs to help out in the classroom. Have a good weekend!
Lots of science and sensory fun happened in the caterpillar room this week! We have a new class pet - a beta fish, which the children named
Nemo! We talked about how to take care of Nemo (including how we shouldn't put any toys in his tank something we are still working on!) We "planted" beta seeds in Nemo 's tank and are watching to see if they will grow into plants! We also hung a bird house on the outside
window and are hoping a bird will discover it! We played with sand in our sensory table and outside in the sand box! We also played
with shave cream. We loved the way it felt and smelled! Then we added watercolor to it to make colorful prints!
Curriculum for this week was gross and fine motor.
The children had a blast!
