PDO Childcare Center will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2016 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Tuition will be collected on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 that week.

PDO Childcare will be closed in December for a week at Christmastime. We will be closed Monday, December 26 Friday, December 30, 2016 and will re-open on Monday, January 2, 2017. Tuition will be collected on Thursday, December 22, 2016 for the first week in January: January 2-6, 2017. NO tuition will be collected on Thursday, December 29, 2016.

Butterfly Classroom News
This week we talked about healthy food. Ms. Lynette also presented some healthy food cards to the class that we also got to hang up. We read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and got to color and glue on the foods the caterpillar liked. We also painted eggs. The children also told me what they were thankful for, as we are gearing up for next week’s theme, which is Thanksgiving. Have a great weekend!

Caterpillar Classroom News The caterpillars had fun learning about Native Americans and Pilgrims this week. We made headbands, vests , necklaces and drums ! We sang songs about Native Americans and learned that they had to hunt for their food because there weren't any grocery stores or Walmart . We looked at pictures in a book about pilgrims and learned they sailed here from England in a boat named the Mayflower. We then created our own Mayflower picture with our handprint and paint! We discussed how Native Americans lived in teepees then made and ate our own teepees using ice cream cones, frosting, m & m's, and fruity pebbles! Yum! We also wished Kian and Josephine a happy 2nd birthday !
