“Life is not always picture perfect, but I like to be taken there in my imagery. Moments of bliss and pure amazement make me feel enlightened and enriched and I hope I can spread that feeling of consciousness through my photography.” – Ryan Turner

Over 20 years ago, Ryan Turner visited Big Sky, Montana and his life was forever changed. Enraptured by visions of his future as a photographer in Big Sky, Turner moved and made manifest the dream he’s been living for the past 17 years. “Ever since I can remember I have always been fascinated by photography, or the thought of using light to create art or document a memory,” reminisces Turner. That fascination with light – finding new ways in which light can “ignite the situation” – has been a driving force behind his photography and a hallmark of his uniquely remarkable images. An acclaimed adventure photographer, Turner shoots stunning skiing, hiking and fly-fishing action shots, while capturing the landscape, lifestyle and a little of the unexpected along the way. “As an artist, it is easy to be inspired to get out and live the adventurous lifestyle

Montana has to offer,” remarks Turner. “From its pristine mountain streams to its highest peaks, there is always an adventure awaiting.” Though he photographs primarily in Montana, Turner’s award-winning work has taken him to locations throughout the continental United States, Canada, France and many other places in between. Turner’s resume credits include Powder, Big Sky Journal, Montana Magazine, Forbes Life, Men's Journal and National Geographic Adventure among others, and clients the likes of Big Sky Resort, Yellowstone Club, Patagonia and Black Diamond. In addition, Bozeman Health Big Sky Medical Center features an extraordinary34-print installation of Turner’s work. The Ryan Turner Photography Gallery is located at the Bighorn Shopping Center, near the junction of Montana Highways 191 and 64 in Big Sky, MT. Open Monday through Friday, from 10AM until

Scoop on Poop

Brought to you by Pam McCutcheon, Small Dog Realty While I love to see wagging tails on our hiking trails, here's the scoop: PICK UP THE POOP!

IF YOUR DOG COULD SPEAK

Spring is in the air and dog poop is on the ground! Bozeman is the number two town in the United States for dogs! We have so many amazing trails all over town, which is wonderful, especially if you are a dog owner. But, here’s the big problem: not everyone cleans up their dog’s mess. It's bad enough for a dog lover, but we’re going to get flack from a lot of folks that aren’t and that’s going to be bad for those of us that do do (funny) the right thing.

A few trails – like Triple Tree – don't have bags and don't have a trashcan for those of us who bring bags. I don't know about you, but I don't want bags of dog poop in my car. Imagine if you forgot . . . or don't imagine. It's stinky! So, what can you do to help? Bring extra bags to the trails that have trashcans. Be a Good Samaritan and pick up bags that don't belong to you; many folks leave the bags on the trail (I’m not sure who they think will be picking it up). Pick up the poop, whether it’s your dog’s or someone else’s. Bring extra bags and give them to folks on the trail that maybe didn't bring enough. Educate out-of-towners that this is how we do it in Bozeman.

Bozeman is growing very fast. Let's keep our town clean and nice for everyone. That's why we live here!

Current Nutrition: Fromm Gold Senior Previous Nutrition: Kirkland Lamb and Rice

Current Supplements: Joint Mobility by Wholistic Pet Previous Supplements: none

I’ve had digestive problems my whole life. I used to vomit and have “accidents” often … this DEE-O-GEE CHANGED made my people sad and angry :( I was also YOUR LIFE? overweight despite leading an active life. This led to me tearing up my knee and the doctor said I needed to get my weight under control. So, my people talked with the people at Dee-O-Gee and they recommended a new food and supplements. I thought this new fancy food was going to be more expensive and I’d get less treats, but that was not the case! The new food has ZERO filler ingredients so I actually eat less of it and feel full … and, I haven’t had an “accident” in a long time! The supplements make my joints feel amazing! HAS

Most trails have dog bags and a trashcan to help keep it nice and clean, not only for you, but for Fido: poop can contain some pretty gross stuff capable of spreading disease and sickness of your pet.

As for Triple Tree, I would like to plan a spring thaw pick-up-the-poop day. Maybe we can find folks with a pick-up truck who would be willing to throw our waste in the bed. Weather pending, I am looking at mid- to late-April. If anyone wants to be a part of it, please email me at pam@smalldogrealty.com.

Culinary selections from the Lone Mountain Ranch and the Moonlight Tavern will also be part of the silent auction. During the quick finish session, appetizers will be passed and the ranch saloon will be open with a full bar. Light jazz music from the Adam Greenberg Trio will be playing as well. The live auction for the artwork will take place at 7 PM, with a professional auctioneer getting the bidding going in the Lone Mountain Ranch dining room. Half of the proceeds from the art auction will go directly to the Arts Council of Big Sky to help offset the costs of producing more than 15 events throughout the year—many of them free. This is a great way to acquire some incredible artwork and contribute to the Council. Tickets are now available and can only be purchased by phone at (406) 995-2742.
