Advertising with the Montana Kaimin The population of Missoula, Montana is over 69,000 and about 21 percent of that population consists of students at the University of Montana. Missoula is a college town and the students drive the commerce of the city when it comes to restaurants, nightlife, local activities and events. The Montana Kaimin reaches an audience that no other paper or media outlet can directly reach in Missoula, and that is the eyes of the students. At the Montana Kaimin, we are dedicated to providing you with information and service to optimize your advertising experience with us. We believe in building a strong partnership with our business partners, and more importantly, lasting relationships. Together we can share
your business with the students at UM. The Montana Kaimin is UM’s independent, student-run, weekly news magazine filled with special features, intriguing columns and the latest news. In addition to the printed weekly publication, the Montana Kaimin has had an website since 1994 to bring you breaking news, publish campus session videos and connect with social media outlets and online platforms, also allowing for digital advertising. Inserts: $100 for every 1,000 inserts or $250 total Inserts must have a minimum dimension of at least 7” x 7”. Tri-fold brochures will not be accepted. Folded inserts must have one side that does not open. 2500 minimum. A few hundred extra are appreciated to allow for waste through the insert machine. If anyone sues you for your claims in your ads, you can’t pass responsibility for those claims onto the Kaimin. Billing and payment: You can pay us in cash, check or any major credit card except American Express. Make-good policy: We’re liable for any mistakes we make on our end, but you have to let us know within 14 business days. Our liability for those mistakes is only within the actual cost of the ad. If we make a mistake you’re entitled to a refund or we can put the ad in the next issue. Content: We reserve the right to edit or eliminate your ad if it doesn’t meet our policies or ethics.

ONLINE ADVERTISING The Kaimin has revamped its online advertising program starting in 2015! Ads can be purchased for one week at a time (either seven non-sequential days or one calendar week), in two main positions: a 728x90 pixel leaderboard and a 300x250 pixel sidebar. Ads are also available on our freshly redesigned mobile website! These ads are also available in two main positions, a 320x90 pixel leaderboard and a 300x250 pixel inline ad. One ad purchase will place your advertisement on both the online and the mobile site. However, if you’d like a different ad to display on the online and mobile sites, that will be considered an additional ad purchase.
