BOZEMAN Bozeman has been named a “dreamtown” by Bizjournal.com, and is often praised in national media for offering high quality of life, strong economy and intellectual and cultural activity. Bozeman offers all the amenities of a bigger city, including many chain stores, lots of interesting local shops, fun restaurants, coffee houses and music venues within walking or biking distance of campus.
Bridger Bowl Ski Resort is 30 minutes from campus and offers skiing terrain for all ability levels. There are two other major ski resorts nearby.
The “M” is a popular hiking destination. The view of the valley is stunning.
Bozeman offers plenty of outdoor recreational activities.
Bozeman Public Library Downtown Bozeman has many coffee houses, restaurants and boutiques.
MSU Residence Life organizes many engaging activities such as community service projects, runs, dances and more that help residents get to know each other.

Marga Hosaeus Fitness Center received a national award in 2010 for its outstanding facilities. The Office of International Programs is the home base for international students. Caring and experienced foreign student advisors assist with courtesy airport pickup, immigration advising as well as personal guidance from arrival to graduation.

The Annual International Street Food Bazaar is a popular MSU tradition since 1982.
Strand Union Building (the SUB) is the community center of the university. It provides a wide range of services and hosts many organizations and events.
Other major sports include basketball, volleyball, track & field and skiing. More than half of the MSU Tennis Team is composed of international students.
