THE RICHEST HILL ON EARTH

Perched a mile above sea-level in the magnificent Rocky Mountains, Butte is brimming with beauty and history. During its mining heyday, Butte was one of the largest cities in the western US.

Fourteen headframes from the city’s underground mining past still decorate the hillsides, with the Original Mine, converted to a performing arts stage used during Butte’s many festivals.

Today, Butte boasts an active art scene, popular concerts, an array of local and specialty cuisine, and some of the best outdoor recreation in the state.

Butte sits at the convergence of Interstates 15 and 90, with direct flights available from the local airport to Salt Lake City.
