Rev. Vincent O. Moss The last of nine sons born to the late Mitchell and Marie Moss of Lower Bogue, Eleuthera on the 20th February, 1942. He attended Sacred Heart Roman Catholic School, then St. Augustine’s College. In 1958, he met the love of his life Dorothy, and married her on February 29, 1960. From the union were born four children - Ricardo, Katie, Pedro and Tito. He joined St. James Native Baptist Church in 1972, where he began his ministry as an usher. He served in various auxiliaries at St. James, and was ordained a Deacon on May 23, 1985. Rev. Vincent Moss was called to the Gospel Ministry in May of 1988, and during the Conference in May 1990, was ordained a full Minister. Rev. Moss graduated from the Bahamas Baptist Bible Institute, and has completed many Christian Education courses in Nassau and in the United States - Richmond, Virginia 1987 & 1988, Nashville and Tennessee 1989, St. Louis, Missouri 1990, Baltimore, Maryland 1995, New Orleans. Rev. Moss was enrolled at Christian Life College and has already completed his Degree in Theology and Ministry. During the month of July 1994, Rev. Moss was called to pastor the Mt. Zion Native Baptist Church, Kemp Road in Nassau. After two years of pasturing Mt. Zion, he was directed by the Holy Spirit to begin a new work, currently known as New Vision Baptist Church. The Ministry is presently preparing the grounds to build a sanctuary - New Vision Cathedral, which will include a Nursery and School. The years have been very rough at times, but God still provides!

New Vision Baptist Church 16th Pastoral Anniversary
God will only use the soldier He can trust, Keep on the firing line; If you’ll wear a crown then bear the cross you must, Keep on the firing line. Life is but to labor for the Master dear, Help to banish evil and to spread good cheer; Great you’ll be rewarded for your service here, So keep on the firing line. When we get to heaven, brother, we’ll be glad, Keep on the firing line; How we’ll praise the Saviour for the call we had, Keep on the firing line; When we see the souls that we have helped to win, Leading them to Jesus, from the paths of sin, With a shout of welcome, we will all march in, So keep on the firing line. - - - PRAISE & WORSHIP SONGS - - "I WORSHIP YOU, ALMIGHTY GOD" I worship You, Almighty God; There is none Like You. I worship You, O Prince of Peace; That is what I want to do. I give You praise, For You are my righteousness. I worship You, Almighty God; There is none Like You. "O THE GLORY OF YOUR PRESENCE" O, the glory of Your presence. We Your temple give You reverence. So arise to Your rest, And be blessed by our praise, As we glory in Your embrace, As Your presence now fills this place. "GOD IS GOOD" God is good, God is good to me, O yes He's good, How can I let Him down, He's been so good to me. He picked me up, turn me around Placed my feet on solid ground How can I let Him down, He's been so good to me.

When I was sick, He made me well, He healed my body, now I can tell, How can I let Him down, He's been so good to me. “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS” Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! “GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH” Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah, Pilgrim thro' this barren land; I am weak, but Thou are mighty, Hold me with Thy powerful hand; Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more. Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing waters flow; let the fiery, cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey thro'; Strong Deliverer, be Thou still my strength and shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid, my anxious fears subside; Bear me thro' the swelling current Land me safe on Canaan's side; Songs of praises I will ever give to Thee.
A Short History of New Vision Baptist Church New Vision Baptist Church was established on 16th October, 1997. The first service was held at the home of Rev. Moss, its first Pastor, in Golden Gates #1. The official commissioning of the Church was held on Sunday, 31st March, 1998, at Calvary Deliverance Church, East Street South. The sermon was preached by Bishop V. G. Clarke. Services were held at Rev. Moss’ home for several months, until a location was found at Robinson Road and Seventh Street the Grove, upstairs in the Five Star Plaza. We held ground-breaking ceremonies and have had steady progress with our building project. The first phase of the administration building is now completed and the foundation for the sanctuary was laid. New Vision Baptist Church officially moved to the new site at Dignity Gardens, Carmichael Road, on Sunday, 14th June, 2009, and currently worships in the administration building. New Vision Baptist Church 16th Pastoral Anniversary
Goodbye to sin and things that confound. Naught of the world shall turn me around. Daily I'm working, I'm praying too, And glory to God, I'm going through.
Lift Him up by living as a Christian ought, Let the world in you the Saviour see; Then men will gladly follow Him Who once taught, “I’ll draw all men unto Me.”
“BLESSED ASSURANCE” Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
“I’M ON THE BATTLEFIELD” I am on the battlefield for my Lord. I'm on the battlefield for my Lord, And I promised Him that I Would serve Him 'til I die; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels, descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Saviour am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love. “LIFT HIM UP” How to reach the masses, men of every birth, For an answer, Jesus gave the key: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.” Lift Him up, lift Him up; Still He speaks from eternity: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.” Oh! the world is hungry for the Living Bread, Lift the Saviour up for them to see; Trust Him, and do not doubt the words that He said, “I’ll draw all men unto Me.” Don’t exalt the preacher, don’t exalt the pew, Preach the Gospel simple, full, and free; Prove Him and you will find that promise is true, “I’ll draw all men unto Me.”
I was alone and idle, I was a sinner too. I heard a voice from heaven say there is work to do. I took the Master's hand, and I joined the Christian band; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord. I left my friends and kindred bound for the Promised Land, The grace of God upon me, the Bible in my hands. In distant lands I trod, crying sinner come to God; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord. Now when I met my Saviour, I met Him with a smile, He healed my wounded spirit, and owned me as Hs child. Around the throne of grace, He appoints my soul a place; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord. “KEEP ON THE FIRING LINE” If you’re in the battle for the Lord and right, Keep on the firing line; If you win, my brother, surely you must fight, Keep on the firing line; There are many dangers that we all must face, If we die still fighting it is no disgrace; Cowards in the service will not find a place, So keep on the firing line. Oh, you must fight, be brave against all evil, Never run, nor even lag behind; If you would win for God and the right, Just keep on the firing line.

“JESUS, HOLD MY HAND” As I travel through this pilgrim land There is a Friend who walks with me. Leads me safely thro' the sinking sand, It is the Christ of Calvary. This would be my pray’r, dear Lord, Each day to help me do the best I can, For I need Thy light to guide me day and night, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. Blessed Jesus, hold my hand, Yes, I need Thee ev'ry hour Thru this land, this pilgrim land, By Thy saving pow'r. Hear my plea, my feeble plea, Oh dear Lord, look down on me When I kneel in pray'r, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. Let me travel in the light divine That I may see the blessed way; Keep me that I may be wholly Thine And sing redemption's song some day. I will be a soldier brave and true And ever firmly take a stand, As I onward go and daily meet the foe, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. When I wander thru the valley dim Toward the setting of the sun, Lead me safely to a land of rest If I a crown of life have won; I have put my faith in Thee, dear Lord, That I may reach the golden strand, There's no other Friend on whom I can depend, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. “MAKE ME A BLESSING” Out on the highways and byways of life, Many are the weary and sad; Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife, Making the sorrowing glad. Make me a blessing, make me a blessing; Out of my life may Jesus shine. Make me a blessing, O Saviour I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today. Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love, Tell of His pow'r to forgive; Others will trust Him if only you prove True every moment you live.

Give as 'twas given to you in your need, Love as the Master loved you; Be to the helpless a helper indeed, Unto your mission be true.

“HE ABIDES” I’m rejoicing night and day As I walk the narrow way, For the hand of God in all my life I see; And the reason of my bliss, Yes, the secret all is this: That the Comforter abides with me. He abides, He abides; Hallelujah, He abides with me! I’m rejoicing night and day As I walk the narrow way, For the Comforter abides with me. Once my heart was full of sin, Once I had no peace within, Till I heard how Jesus died upon the tree; Then I fell down at His feet, And there came a peace so sweet; Now the Comforter abides with me. He is with me everywhere, And He knows my every care; I’m as happy as a bird and just as free; For the Spirit has control; Jesus satisfies my soul, Since the Comforter abides with me. There’s no thirsting for the things Of the world—they’ve taken wings; Long ago I gave them up, and instantly All my night was turned to day, All my burdens rolled away; Now the Comforter abides with me. “HE SET ME FREE” Once like a bird in prison I dwelt. No freedom from my sorrow I felt. But Jesus came and listened to me, And glory to God, He set me free. He set me free, Yes, He set me free, And He broke the bonds of prison for me. I'm glory bound my Jesus to see, For glory to God, He set me free. Now I am climbing higher each day. Darkness of night has drifted away. My feet are planted on higher ground, And glory to God, I'm homeward bound.
