Rev. Vincent O. Moss The last of nine sons born to the late Mitchell and Marie Moss of Lower Bogue, Eleuthera on the 20th February, 1942. He attended Sacred Heart Roman Catholic School, then St. Augustine’s College. In 1958, he met the love of his life Dorothy, and married her on February 29, 1960. From the union were born four children - Ricardo, Katie, Pedro and Tito. He joined St. James Native Baptist Church in 1972, where he began his ministry as an usher. He served in various auxiliaries at St. James, and was ordained a Deacon on May 23, 1985. Rev. Vincent Moss was called to the Gospel Ministry in May of 1988, and during the Conference in May 1990, was ordained a full Minister. Rev. Moss graduated from the Bahamas Baptist Bible Institute, and has completed many Christian Education courses in Nassau and in the United States - Richmond, Virginia 1987 & 1988, Nashville and Tennessee 1989, St. Louis, Missouri 1990, Baltimore, Maryland 1995, New Orleans. Rev. Moss was enrolled at Christian Life College and has already completed his Degree in Theology and Ministry. During the month of July 1995, Rev. Moss was called to pastor the Mt. Zion Native Baptist Church, Kemp Road in Nassau. After two years of pasturing Mt. Zion, he was directed by the Holy Spirit to begin a new work, currently known as New Vision Baptist Church. The Ministry is presently preparing the grounds to build a sanctuary - New Vision Cathedral, which will include a Nursery and School. The years have been very rough at times, but God still provides!

New Vision Baptist Church 14th Pastoral Anniversary
I have found that hope so bright and clear, Living in the realm of grace; Oh, the Savior’s presence is so near, I can see His smiling face. I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll; It is like a great o’erflowing well, Springing up within my soul. “JESUS, HOLD MY HAND” As I travel through this pilgrim land There is a Friend who walks with me. Leads me safely thro' the sinking sand, It is the Christ of Calvary. This would be my pray’r, dear Lord, Each day to help me do the best I can, For I need Thy light to guide me day and night, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. Blessed Jesus, hold my hand, Yes, I need Thee ev'ry hour Thru this land, this pilgrim land, By Thy saving pow'r. Hear my plea, my feeble plea, Oh dear Lord, look down on me When I kneel in pray'r, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. Let me travel in the light divine That I may see the blessed way; Keep me that I may be wholly Thine And sing redemption's song some day. I will be a soldier brave and true And ever firmly take a stand, As I onward go and daily meet the foe, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. When I wander thru the valley dim Toward the setting of the sun, Lead me safely to a land of rest If I a crown of life have won; I have put my faith in Thee, dear Lord, That I may reach the golden strand, There's no other Friend on whom I can depend, Blessed Jesus, hold my hand. “O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED ” O Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end; Be thou forever near me, my Master and my friend. I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side, Nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my guide. O let me feel thee near me! The world is ever near; I see the sights that dazzle, the tempting sounds I hear; My foes are ever near me, around me and within; But Jesus, draw thou nearer, and shield my soul from sin. O let me hear Thee speaking in accents clear and still, Above the storms of passion, the murmurs of self-will. O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control; O speak, and make me listen, Thou guardian of my soul. O Jesus, Thou hast promised to all who follow Thee That where Thou art in glory there shall Thy servant be. And Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end; O give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend.

A Short History of New Vision Baptist Church New Vision Baptist Church was established on 15th October, 1997. The first service was held at the home of Rev. Moss, its first Pastor, in Golden Gates #1. The official commissioning of the Church was held on Sunday, 31st March, 1998, at Calvary Deliverance Church, East Street South. The sermon was preached by Bishop V. G. Clarke. Services were held at Rev. Moss’ home for several months, until a location was found at Robinson Road and Fifth Street the Grove, upstairs in the Five Star Plaza. The Church still worships at this present location, but we are soon to break ground for a church building in the western district of Nassau. New Vision Baptist Church has a number of functioning ministries: • Senior Choir • Sunday School • Men’s Ministry
• Women’s Ministry • Evangelism / Outreach • Dance Ministry

New Vision Baptist Church 14th Pastoral Anniversary
When with all that heavenly host, we begin to sing, Singing in the Holy Ghost, how the heavens will ring. Millions there will join the song, with them we shall be, Praising Christ through ages long, heaven's jubilee. “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS” Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! “HE SET ME FREE” Once like a bird in prison I dwelt. No freedom from my sorrow I felt. But Jesus came and listened to me, And glory to God, He set me free. He set me free, Yes, He set me free, And He broke the bonds of prison for me. I'm glory bound my Jesus to see, For glory to God, He set me free. Now I am climbing higher each day. Darkness of night has drifted away. My feet are planted on higher ground, And glory to God, I'm homeward bound. Goodbye to sin and things that confound. Naught of the world shall turn me around. Daily I'm working, I'm praying too, And glory to God, I'm going through. “JOY UNSPEAKABLE” I have found His grace is all complete, He supplieth every need; While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet, I am free, yes, free indeed. It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Full of glory, full of glory; It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Oh, the half has never yet been told. I have found the pleasure I once craved, It is joy and peace within; What a wondrous blessing, I am saved From the awful gulf of sin.

“COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS” When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings, see what God hath done! Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will keep singing as the days go by. When you look at others with their lands and gold, Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high. So, amid the conflict whether great or small, Do not be disheartened, God is over all; Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end. “BLESSED ASSURANCE” Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels, descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Saviour am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love. “HEAVEN’S JUBILEE” Some glad morning we shall see, Jesus in the air, Coming after you and me, joy is ours to share. What rejoicing there will be, when the saints shall rise, Headed for that jubilee, yonder in the skies.

Psalm 124 1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: 4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: 5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Oh what singing, oh what shouting, On that happy morning when we all shall rise, Oh what glory, hallelujah! When we meet our blessed Saviour in the skies. Seems that now I almost see, all the sainted dead, Rising for that jubilee, that is just ahead. In the twinkling of an eye, changed with them to be, All the living saints to fly, to that jubilee.
