Texas Sheriff Henderson Seeks Entergy exas Weekly Public Assistance Collecting T Customers Gas Prices
(February 14, 2022) Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 4.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.13/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 22.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 93.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Texas was priced at $2.59/g yesterday while the most expensive was $3.94/g, a difference of $1.35/g. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.59/g while the highest was $3.94/g, a difference of $1.35/g. The national average price of gasoline has risen 4.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.47/g today. The national average is up 16.5 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 97.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country. Neighboring areas and their current gas prices: Midland Odessa- $3.31/g, up 15.9 cents per gallon from last week's $3.15/g. San Antonio- $3.08/g, up 8.7 cents per gallon from last week's $3.00/g. Austin- $3.11/g, up 7.7 cents per gallon from last week's $3.03/g. "The jump in gasoline prices has continued unabated as oil prices continue to push higher, reaching $94 per barrel last week on continued concern over the possible imminent threat that Russia may invade Ukraine," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "Not only are oil prices up, but the bulk of the nation is starting the multimonth transition to summer gasoline, further adding to the rise at the pump. In addition, cold weather in Texas last week caused some power outages at major refineries, further weighing on markets. I see no other potentials in the short term but additional price increases unless Russia does an about-face on Ukraine. Even then, we'll still see seasonality push prices up, so motorists should be ready to dig deeper." GasBuddy is the authoritative voice for gas prices and the only source for station-level data spanning nearly two decades. Unlike AAA's once daily survey and the Lundberg Survey, updated once every two weeks based on a small fraction of U.S. gasoline stations, GasBuddy's survey updates 288 times every day from the most diverse list of sources covering nearly 150,000 stations nationwide, the most comprehensive and up-to-date in the country. GasBuddy data is accessible at http://prices.GasBuddy.com. SOURCE GasBuddy

In them and their lives I saw many reminders of life well lived. I narrowed down the reminders to 15. We have been able to deliver the presentation to a variety of organizations and business in the area and it is particularly nice to be able to present this at our ‘neighbor’s’.” Pastor Mike Ainsworth said, “We are excited about bringing the presentation to the community because people need reminders of simple guidelines for a happy life during these challenging, complicated times. The federal government estimates EITC has lifted more than 5.6 million people out of poverty, including 3 million children; however, one out of five people who qualify for the EITC fail to claim it. “The Earned Income Tax Credit is one of our country’s most effective tools for lifting low-income workers and their families above the poverty line,” said Stuart Barrett, vice president of customer service. “Our goal is to increase the amount of federal money returned to our customers by raising awareness of the credit and supporting VITA sites to help qualified customers avoid high fees.” Free tax preparation services are provided at VITA sites throughout the 2022 tax season. At local VITA sites, IRScertified volunteers from Entergy Texas and community partners will be available to help residents who earn $57,000 or less determine if they qualify to receive the tax benefits. Qualifying families can receive as much as $6,700 through EITC. In some VITA locations, local community partners are offering appointments for tax preparation services, drop-off tax prep services, financial coaching, budget workshops, free legal services and more. Contact the provider in your community to confirm available services. VITA site locations are a v a i l a b l e a t e n t e r g y. c o m / f r e e t a x h e l p .
