Texas RJOA Participates at US Space Launch

July 5th 2020 & CELEBRATES AMERICAN PRIDE! Weekly Lake Gas Prices Incident (July 6, 2020) - Texas gas prices have fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.87/g t o d a y, a c c o r d i n g t o GasBuddy's daily survey of 13,114 stations. Gas prices in Texas are 18.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 57.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Texas is priced at $1.19/g today while the most expensive is $2.79/g, a difference of $1.60/g. The lowest price in the state today is $1.19/g while the highest is $2.79/g, a difference of $1.60/g. The national average price of gasoline has fallen 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $ 2 . 1 7 / g t o d a y. T h e national average is up 14.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 58.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. Neighboring areas and their current gas prices: Midland Odessa$1.94/g, down 2.0 cents per gallon from last week's $1.96/g. San Antonio- $1.81/g, down 5.6 cents per gallon from last week's $1.87/g. Austin- $1.87/g, down 2.8 cents per gallon from last week's $1.90/g. “With July 4 behind us, we're now half way through the summer driving season, and the pace of gas price increases has finally hit a wall. As of Sunday evening, it appears possible that we may break the nine straight weeks of rising prices thanks to a drop in demand fueled by COVID-19 cases surging in some states," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy. "So far this summer, both holidays have seen the lowest prices since 2004, and its possible that if things don't improve much by Labor Day we could see the rare trifecta of every summer holiday setting multi-year lows. For now, I believe we may see increases stall and some minor increases or decreases until we see a solid change in the coronavirus situation. For now, some states will see slight increases, some may see slight decreases, but gas prices are essentially stuck in limbo."

Suggestions For Mindful Eating: Zucchini Tots them yourself, get them at a farmers market or nab them at the local Diana Anderson supermarket, zucchini is DianaCAnderson@ in season and at their gmail.com peak for availability and freshness. Weather you grow Using grated zucchini

Food for Thought

instead of mashed potato in this recipe might be one of the best decisions you can make. Zucchini is a perfect alternative not just because of its fresh taste, but because of the additional health

benefits you can get from it. Zucchini is a lowcalorie vegetable that does not contain unhealthy fats, but is rich in dietary fiber. This is good news for people who are watching their weight, and/or those who want to increase their daily fiber intake. Meanwhile, flavoid antioxidants, carotenes and lutein in zucchini may help with slowing down aging and eradicating harmful free radicals from your body. Z u c c h i n i ’s m i n e r a l content is impressive, too. Apart from iron, manganese and phosphorus, these minerals deliver the following benefits: * Potassium: assists in moderating blood pressure levels and counteracting the effects of consuming too much sodium * Z i n c a n d magnesium: can help ensure healthy blood

sugar regulation If you want to reap z u c c h i n i ’s h e a l t h benefits, retain the skin when adding it to your dishes. Most of zucchini’s antioxidant and fiber content are in this area. Plus, always make sure to purchase this vegetable organic, as most zucchini in the U.S. today is genetically modified. Zucchini Tots 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease baking sheet with coconut oil. 2. Place 1 cup grated zucchini into a clean dishtowel and wring all of the excess water out. 3. In a medium bowl combine 1 egg, ¼ cup grated onion, ¼ cup grated cheese (cheddar or monterrey jack), 1/3 cup flour (or coconut flour or tapioca starch if going low carb or gluten free) then season with pink Himalayan salt (~1/4 t) and pepper and garlic powder (~1/2 t). 4. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the mixture in your hands and roll into small ovals. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 16 to 18 minutes, turning halfway through cooking. Bake until golden. This is definitely kidfriendly as they are perfect for dipping in

ketchup or ranch. Unlike conventional tater tots that are deep-fried using unhealthy vegetable oils, these Zucchini Tots are baked on a layer of coconut oil. This could be a game-changer for your health since there are major advantages linked to this oil. Tapioca starch is not something we commonly keep in our pantry but perhaps we should. It can be used as a flavorless thickener for soup or stew and can also serve as a binder when added to ingredients like these zucchini tots because tapioca can boost the texture of these foods without causing them to become soggy. It is produced when a starchy liquid is extracted from the cassava root via evaporation or by squeezing the ground root. The result is a fine white powder that’s dried and often sold as flour or pressed into flakes or “pearls” that must be boiled prior to eating. What makes tapioca starch special is its potential to be a good alternative to wheat and other grains most important for anyone with gluten sensitivities or thyroid problems.

Comments According to Doc Jeff Foxworthy is The Incomparable Southern “Redneck” Philosopher Who “Speaks Out!!! Walden Happenings By Doc Fennessy The opinions expressed in this editorial do not necessarily reflect those of MCN.

HERE WE GO AGAIN! Same two differences, same players in team support with the “Good Guys in Red with the TRUTH Team,” and the “Bad Guys in Blue with the “Liars, Cheaters and Do-Nothing Team!!!” In this year of election; then stakes are extremally high in that if the Republicans win, and the Pandemic is over, President Donald Trump will CONTINUE to break upward economic records to keep the United States in the highest overall Economic Presence in the history of not only this nation but every country in the world. With “Good ‘ole Joe” Biden you have a Ultra-Liberal Democrat “prisoner” that is being used as a supposed “Leader, who if he wins, will be ordered to claim “Medical Difficulties” and retire in March 2021! According to the Blue United States Constitution -Vice-President Michelle Obama will move up to be President, and Speaker of The House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi will move up to be your VicePresident!!! OH MY W H A T H AV E W E HERE? Think about it folks!!! To go back in time – before the last election, Jeff Foxworthy, the Modern-day Southern Philosopher, wrote an Article with comments reflective of what you get if you vote for Joe Biden and the “Blue Team” for the U.S. President! It will all come back to you again! Folks, Jeff Foxworthy is one of the world’s most respected comedians. He is the world’s largestselling comedianrecording artist, a multip l e - G r a m m y Aw a r d nominee, and best-selling author of twenty-six books. Jeff has hosted or starred in five Television series and is also a part of one of the most successful comedy tours of all time; “The Blue-Collar Comedy Tour!” He is a frequent guest judge/Investor on America’s Number-One television show, “The Shark Tank”. And folks, let’s not forget that Jeff has given more “Redneck

Jokes” then they know what to do with. It’s time we had some real laughs with Jeff, but NO! Jeff had enough of this phony “Political Correctness” crap and speaks out in his most genuine and serious patriotic manner about what has happened to our country in hopes that Donald Trump’s new team can drain the swamp in Washington D.C. of these “No-Know-nothing” Democratic government officials. Since “The Great American Election conflict” is coming up and life just slips its tether and we have a few laughs to relieve the tension. Here is Jeff Foxworthy, the Incomparable Southern “Redneck” Philosopher to entertain all’ya’al! Hey folks, if plastic water bottles are okay, but plastic bags are banned, you might live in a nation (state) that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots! WE DO LIVE IN SUCH A DUMB COUNTRY!! [Until they drain the swamps]. If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If you have to get your parents' permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote [in some states] for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If the government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but gives twenty F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If, in the nation's largest city, [New York] you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24ounce soda, because 24ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If an 80-year-old woman who is

confined to a wheelchair or a three-year-old girl can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is “cute” but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If hard work and success are going to be met again with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion while not working [and being illegal in this country] is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If you pay your m o r t g a g e f a i t h f u l l y, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots. Folks, I hope you thought about it in the past election before you voted; because most of the idiots [that were -before Trump] running this country said one thing and did the opposite knowing that the people who voted them in do not pay attention to what they do but only what they say. Folks I believe all of these following statements to be the absolute truth so help me GOD! (1.) An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject. (2.) A gun in the hand is better

America’s Southern Philosopher Jeff Foxworthy speaks of today’s true reality in powerful words the Democrats hate.

than a cop on the phone. (3.) Colt: The original point and click interface. (4.) Gun control is not about guns; it's about control. (5.) If guns are outlawed, can we use swords? (6.) If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words? (7.) “Free” men do not ask permission to bear arms. (8.) If you don't know your rights, you don't have any!! (9.) Those who trade liberty for security have neither. (10.) The United States Constitution (c) 1791. “All Rights reserved!” (11.) What part of “shall not be infringed” do you not understand? (12.) The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others. (13.) 64,999,987 firearm owners killed no one yesterday!!! (14.) Guns only have two enemies: rust and politicians. (15.) Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety. (16.) No! You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive. (17.) 911 - government spons o r e d D i a l - a - P r a y e r. (18.) Assault is a behavior, not a device. (19.)

Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer. (20.) If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson. (21.) Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them. (22.) You only have the rights you are willing to fight for. (23.) Enforce the- 20,000 “gun control laws” we ALREADY have, don't make more. (24.) When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves. (25.) The American Revolution would

never have happened with gun control. (26.) Remember folks, it is ours “A government of the people, by the people, for the people ….” I firmly believe all this and more! So, Americans do not lose our freedom by all this and support our government team lead by Donald Trump for with him there is still hope AS THE BEAT GOES ON!

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office: Information Related to GA-29 The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will take NO actions to enforce the Governor’s Office Executive Order GA-29 issued on July 2, 2020 regarding the mandatory use of facemasks in public. This order includes specific language prohibiting law

enforcement from detaining, arresting, or confining to jail as a means to enforce the order. This language strips law enforcement of the necessary tools to enforce compliance with the law. The language included in the Governor’s order could subject our agency, and

Montgomery County as a whole, to civil liability as stopping someone for a face covering related issue could be construed or misconstrued as a detention.Additionally, holding someone for the purpose of issuing a citation related to a fine is a legally defined detention

under current Texas Law. Calls for service reporting a violation of GA-29 will only be dispatched if the reportee is an authorized supervisory representative of the business or property AND is reporting that a person is refusing to leave the property after receiving notice to leave and a

disturbance is occurring. Deputies arriving at these types of calls will follow the normal established procedures. We are in a public health crisis and we will use this opportunity to educate our community while still respecting individual liberties. Let's work together to ensure

Montgomery County remains a safe place to live and work. We encourage all citizens to take reasonable precautions in their own life to mitigate possible exposure by following all Health Department guidelines.

Cattle raisers applaud bills to increase beef processing and availability FORT WORTH, Texas — Robert E. McKnight, Jr., president of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, applauded the introduction of two bills that will expand the options available to meat processors and increase the availability of beef to consumers. The Direct Interstate Retail Exemption for C e r t a i n Tr a n s a c t i o n s

(DIRECT) Act of 2020 introduced by Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas and Rep. Dusty Johnson of South Dakota would allow meat processed at stateinspected facilities to be sold directly to consumers across state lines through e-commerce. The Requiring Assistance to Meat Processors for Upgrading Plants (RAMP UP) Act, would provide federal grants for

existing meat processors to move from state to federal inspection, which will similarly allow for increased interstate meat sales. “The supply chain challenges brought about by COVID-19 left many consumers hungry for beef they could not find. Despite the retail demand, cattle producers could not

sell their cattle because of the reduced processing c a p a c i t y. A l t h o u g h temporary, the slowdowns at major beef packers highlighted the need for additional capacity and regulatory flexibility at smaller meat processors. “On behalf of beef producers and consumers across the nation, I applaud Congress for acting

quickly to ensure we have the tools necessary to weather any future crisis we may face. Most importantly, both the DIRECT and RAMP UP Acts expand options without compromising the strict safety standards we expect. “ T h e Te x a s a n d Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is

grateful to the broad, bipartisan coalition of lawmakers who introduced the bills, and would like to especially thank Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas and Rep. Frank Lucas of Oklahoma for their steadfast support of American ranchers.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – With violent crime on the rise and Democratic politicians allowing radical Leftists’ dangerous “defund the police” movement to gain steam, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (RTexas) on Wednesday appeared on Fox News’ ‘Hannity’ and the ‘Joe Pags Show,’ where he slammed the violence and riots and urged U.S. officials and politicians to stand up and defend America. Catch Sen. Cruz’s full interview with Sean Hannity here and with Joe Pagliarulo here. Excerpts are below. ON THE FIRST AMENDMENT AND VIOLENT RIOTERS: “Unfortunately, the Democrats have released the crazies in their party and they are going nuts. The violence we’re seeing, the rioting we’re seeing. […] We are seeing violent rioters. Antifa is behind much of it, and they are domestic terrorists. We need law enforcement to stand together, to stop this terrorism, to enforce the rule of law, and to protect American citizens.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Hannity,’ Fox News, 7/1/2020) “The First Amendment does not protect violence. […]What you don’t have a right to do is get out there with a rope and just commit acts of vandalism, tearing down whatever it is you disagree with. That is criminal conduct.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Joe Pags Show,’ 7/1/2020) ON THE FAR LEFT’S HATRED OF AMERICA: “What the far Left is doing, they hate America. This is not about social justice. This is not about equality. Every one of us agrees that everyone’s rights should be protected, regardless of race. That’s what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights do. But you look at these vandals that are tearing monuments down. They’re trying to tear down George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. That ain’t about the Confederacy. Last I checked, George Washington wasn’t part of the Civil War. They hate America. And we need leaders, Sean, to stand up and defend A m e r i c a . Unapologetically, as the greatest nation in the history of the world, dedicated to equal justice.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Hannity,’ Fox News, 7/1/2020) O N T H E D A N G E R O U S “DEFUND THE POLICE” MOVEMENT: “Well, the Democratic Party is afflicted with Tr u m p d e r a n g e m e n t

syndrome. They hate the president so much that they’re allowing the crazies [out]. […] NYPD is cutting a billion dollars from their police department and AOC says it’s not enough? That is crazy. You know what the consequence of their attacking, demonizing, [and] defunding the police? The consequence will be a lot more black lives will be lost, a lot more white lives and Hispanic lives. You pull the police back and those, especially those who live in low-income neighborhoods, are going to find themselves the victims of much more violent crime. This is wrong.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Hannity,’ Fox News, 7/1/2020) “I believe it is a violation of existing federal civil rights laws for a politician to deliberately pull back police protection in a way that is politically biased and politically motivated. […] I can tell you right now I'm working on legislation to make that very explicit and to give people the right to sue any municipality that pulls back police protection. That it is the fundamental responsibility of government to keep us safe, and if you have a politician who's so busy virtue signaling to the mob that they're not willing to protect the citizens. […] I think we need leadership to call it out.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Joe Pags Show,’ 7/1/2020) ON STANDING WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND DEFENDING AMERICA: “I stand with the NYPD. I stand with the men and women of law enforcement across this country. I’ve talked to a lot of cops in the last several weeks, and they’re down. They’re d e m o r a l i z e d . Yo u ’ r e seeing senior officers leaving the force. Young people, what 19-year-old in his right mind would say, ‘I’m going to go be a cop.’ And you think that’s good for America if people are scared to be a police officer and keep us safe?” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Hannity,’ Fox News, 7/1/2020) “We’ve got to stand up and stand up for America. The vandals who are rioting, who are attacking, they hate America. They’re toppling statues or attacking statues of Jefferson and Washington. That has nothing to do with the Civil War. Last I checked, George Washington wasn’t in the Civil War. Neither was Thomas Jefferson. And by the way, these same idiots are

attacking Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant. They hate America. They hate who we are. And we need Republicans, you’re right. Grow a spine. […] Defend our damn country.” (Sen. Cruz, ‘Joe Pags Show,’ 7/1/2020) Since the violent rioting across the country first began, Sen. Cruz has called for strong leadership to protect the lives of every American. Here’s what news outlets are saying: Fox News: Republicans welcome end of CHOP zone, say it comes ‘several deaths too late’ “Sen. Ted Cruz, RTexas, took to mocking the autonomous zone. ‘Boy, nation-states seem to be lasting shorter & shorter,’ he said in one tweet. ‘Is it still the Summer of Love? #NowThatCHAZIsGone,’ Cruz said in another. Cruz’s ‘Summer of Love’ tweet referenced a quote from Durkan during the early stages of the CHOP zone as she initially seemed uninterested in reclaiming the six-block area of her city that included a police precinct, which officers were forced to abandon, and several businesses, which business-owners could not get to.” Hannity: CRUZ SAYS ‘ENOUGH’: Ted Cruz Rips ‘Leftist Vandals That Hate America’ “Texas Senator Ted Cruz ripped the ‘leftist vandals’ that defaced a Washington memorial in New York City Tuesday; saying they ‘hate America.’ […] President Trump vowed to track-down and arrest a pair of vandals who defaced a historic monument in lower Manhattan Tu e s d a y ; s a y i n g t h e ‘anarchists’ should face 10 years in prison for the attack.” Houston Chronicle: Ted Cruz says Antifa protesters are ‘behaving like bigots’ “U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz lashed out at Antifa protesters, calling them bigots for taking advantage of otherwise peaceful protesters and causing violence throughout the nation.’ Let’s be clear, these Antifa protesters that are organizing these acts of terror, among other things, they are behaving in a profoundly racist manner,’ Cruz said at a press conference in Washington, D.C. And yet you are seeing Antifa protesters deciding to abuse and take advantage of this crisis to wrongly paint the peaceful protesters as being violent,” Cruz said. ‘They are behaving like bigots.’” CNS News: Sen. Cruz:

‘We Need Leaders to Stand Up and Defend America Unapologetically’ ‘Unfortunately, the Democrats have released the crazies in their party, and they are going nuts -the violence we’re seeing, the rioting we’re seeing,’ Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told Fox News’s Sean Hannity Wednesday night. ‘They hate America, and we need leaders, Sean, to stand up and defend America unapologetically as the greatest nation in the history of the world dedicated to equal justice.’ Cruz said the Democrat Party hates President Trump so much they’re allowing the far-left to literally run riot.” Fox News: Ted Cruz: Rioting cannot be tolerated, this is ‘terrorist assault’ on America “Sen. Ted Cruz, RTexas, told ‘Outnumbered Overtime’ on Tuesday that ‘rioting should not be tolerated’ and called the violence that has taken place across the country over the past few days ‘a terrorist assault on our country.’ […] ‘Now is the time for strong leadership,’ he continued. ‘Rioting should not be tolerated. It cannot be allowed and we need strong leadership from the president, from the attorney general, from governors, from mayors, from police chiefs.’ […] ‘What you don’t have a right to do is engage in violent rioting,’ he said. ‘What you don’t have a right to do is loot. What you don’t have a right to do is to light police cars on fire and attack your fellow citizens and we need law enforcement to be unequivocal that if you do that, you will be arrested, you will be prosecuted and you will spend a very long time in jail.’” Washington Examiner: Barr creates task force to target ‘anti-government extremists “On Thursday’s episode of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s podcast, Verdict, Barr said his agency was using 35 joint terrorist task forces across the country to investigate criminal activity, saying over 500 investigations are currently underway. ‘They want to tear down the country. They are different than many traditional groups, and frequently, the signs of coordination and activity are very close to the event itself,’ the attorney general said, describing those people behind the violence and the vandalizing of monuments.”

It’s Time For Pursuing Lasting Family Memories Spreading the Word

By Gail J. Box Gailbox@consolidated.net

Wherever we live in the states, usually around the time of mid-July, that is our warmest/hottest time. During the three summer months, vacations are taken, and many families get together. Here in America, we celebrate the signing of our country’s “Declaration of Independence.” The importance of that day in our country’s growth established us in the world as people who are independent of

“kingly” rule. We were and are kept by the o rg a n i z a t i o n o f o u r government run from Washington D.C., as elected through the people of all the United States. There is still more. This nation was formed through many acts of God. In the words of our pledge, we say: “One nation, under God…” And lest we forget, our nation was brought together with people from all over the world. They came here to raise families and build a nation free from the tyranny of any other country on the earth. We must remember to

follow God’s laws first for our safety and endurance. They are given to us for our own safety and for the safety of all the people around us. As we walk with God, we remember Jesus’ words: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment: The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “ Matthew 22: 37 – 39. So we begin teaching our families to know that God put us all together: f a t h e r, m o t h e r, a n d children. That leads to

launching out to include our neighbors, church friends, and school friends. If mom and dad are kind to each other, the children learn from that. Kindness toward neighbors and friends begins at home, as does kindness to parents and siblings. In God’s word, John, the disciple of Jesus in First John 2, gives us some lasting family memories we might pursue as we wait for this corona 19 virus to end our confinements. God has ten commandments for everyone. Read and study these, then have a family discussion. (Deuteronomy 5: 7 - 21). God is full of light.

Those who love Him, love all family members. Otherwise they are in darkness. And children need to know they are forgiven if they are the first ones to forgive. The time of reading the Bible with the whole family should start every day. Word and number board games are summer fun games. Restrict the younger ones regarding time on cell phones and video games. Set up a card table with a big puzzle on it that may be played by anyone, any time. Crafts, painting, and sewing may also be added

during the day. Boys, especially, need time with their father, learning how to “fix” things around the house. There are many more ideas, instructions, and impartations for fathers and for those who love God in chapters 3, 4, and 5, of I John. Those chapters are small but very powerful for all to learn how to live for God in this life. Be aware, and teach the children well, as God provides this time for lasting memories.
