On October 7, 2024, EntergyTexas, Inc. (“ETI”) filed an application for aTransmission Cost Recovery Factor (“TCRF”) with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“Commission”or“PUC”). TheapplicationwasassignedPUCDocketNo.57162. The proposedTCRFisrequestedinaccordancewiththePublicUtilityRegulatoryAct§36.209 and16TAC§25.239. ATCRFallowsautilitytorecoveritsreasonableandnecessarycosts that have occurred since the end of the test year in the utility's last base rate case for transmissioninfrastructureimprovementandchangesinwholesaletransmissionchargesto theelectricutilityunderatariffapprovedbyafederalregulatoryauthority Initsrequested amendment, ETI is seeking recovery of costs for transmission capital investments it incurredfromJanuary1,2022throughJune30,2024. ETIalsoseekstorecoverapproved transmissionchargesthatarenototherwisebeingrecoveredthroughrates.
The proposed TCRF as amended would result in total TCRF retail revenues of approximately$9.7milliononanannualbasis,whichwouldbea0.79%increaseinETI's annualizednon-fuelrevenuerequirementascomparedtorevenuesapprovedinDocketNo. 53719,ETI'smostrecentbaseratecase,anda0.50%increaseinETI'soverallannualized revenuerequirementincludingfuelcostsascomparedtosuchrevenues. Theimpactofthe ratechangeonvariouscustomerclasseswillvaryfromtheoverallimpactdescribedinthis notice.
The effective date of the proposed rate change would be the date that a Commission order adopting the proposedTCRF is issued.
