GREEN VALLEY BOOK FAIR - $15

Founded in 1970, the Green Valley Book Fair has become famous among book lovers throughout Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region for its great selection and low, wholesale-to-everyone prices. Located just south of Harrisonburg, Virginia, in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the Book Fair is a discount book outlet store featuring over 500,000 new books at incredible bargain prices. CHUNKY KNIT BLANKET - Pay at the Store

Join us for our monthly TRIAD/SALT Council meeting. No pre-registration required. Everyone is welcome! The Christiansburg/Montgomery Triad S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Working Together) The Council works on various projects to benefit senior citizens and prevent scams in the community. The council meets every third Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Christiansburg Recreation Center; meetings are open to all senior citizens to attend. HANDS ONLY CPR - $5

Feb. 19, 1-3 pm, Mid County Activity Center

This class will teach lifesaving skills of adult only CPR, how to use an AED, what to do in case of choking, and basic first aid skills. This class is for anyone who wants to learn CPR and first aid but does not need a certification card. You will leave the class with the knowledge needed to help safe a life while EMS is on the way.

POTTS CREEK RAIL TRAIL

HIKE- $10

Potts Creek Rail Trail is an historic railway in Maggie and Waterville valleys. After the hike we will drive out to the famous Swinging Bridge restaurant for lunch. Finally we will stop by the Potts Mountain Trout Hatchery to tour one of the largest fish hatcheries in this part of the state. Participants will be responsible for their own lunch. BERRY BOWL WORKSHOP - $45

TRIAD SHRED—A—THON

Apr. 22, 3 - 6 pm, Christiansburg Recreation Center

Help prevent identity theft, shred unwanted documents, protect identifying information and clean out clutter! Please bring your documents in a box or plastic tote (no larger than 22.5x18x11.5") and respect the limit of three totes/boxes per vehicle. Items that cannot be shredded include: metal, three-ring binders, composition notebooks, hanging file folders, paint brushes, padlocks, hardback books, keys, eyeglasses, bungee cords, etc. Please note that the Shred-A-Thon is a drivethru event; please do not get out of your car and approach the collection site, but rather stay in the line of vehicles for an event coordinator to approach you. NRV SENIOR GAMES

Radford City Parks and Recreation will be the host agency for the 2025 New River Valley Senior Games which will be held Sunday-Friday, April 27May 2, 2025. The games are open to New River Valley residents 50 years of age and older. Through a multitude of athletic and social events, participants have the opportunity to display their athletic ability, in addition to exchanging and sharing common ties and interests with other senior individuals
