PARENTS NAME(S): BRAD LAW AND NEIKA LAW
YEARS IN FFA (HIGH SCHOOL ONLY): 3 YEARS
WHAT IS YOUR SAE PROJECT: FOOD SERVICE
WHY IS FFA IMPORTANT TO YOU: THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY FFA IS IMPORTANT TO ME. ONE REASON IS BECAUSE I’VE GROWN AS A PERSON. WHEN I FIRST STARTED I DIDN’T REALLY TALK TO ANYONE AND I MADE A BOX TO WHERE I DIDN’T WANT TO DO NEW THINGS. ANOTHER REASON IS BECAUSE OF ALL THE KNOWLEDGE BEHIND FFA, I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH AS TO WHAT FFA IS. I’VE ALSO LEARNED A LOT OF LITTLE LITTLE THINGS. BUT I’VE LEARNED THAT FFA ISN'T JUST A GROUP OF PEOPLE, IT'S A BIG FAMILY.
WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME AN FFA OFFICER: AS A FRESHMAN I DIDN'T WANT TO BE AN OFFICER, BUT I LOOKED UP TO MY OLDER BROTHER A LOT AND I SAW WHAT HE DID AS AN OFFICER AND HOW MUCH FUN HE HAD. BUT NOW I WANT TO BE AN OFFICER BECAUSE I WANT TO IMPACT PEOPLE. I ALSO LOOK FORWARD TO PLANNING EVENTS AND GETTING UP AT 5 AM JUST TO PLAN THE EVENTS. BECOMING AN OFFICER IS LIKE A SMALLER FAMILY INSIDE THE BIGGER FAMILY. KNOWING THAT I HAVE OTHER OFFICERS' SUPPORT BEHIND ME MAKES ME WANT TO BE AN OFFICER EVERY YEAR.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR FELLOW AND FUTURE FFA MEMBERS: SOME ADVICE IS TO NEVER LET YOUR FEARS GET IN THE WAY. I OFTEN NEED TO TAKE THIS IN AND NEED TO REMIND MYSELF THAT FEAR CAN’T CONTROL MY LIFE I WOULD ALSO SAY JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE FRIENDS IN THE CHAPTER DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T BE A MEMBER. YOU ARE YOUR OWN PERSON SO YOU NEED TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST BECAUSE THERE'S ONLY ONE OF YOU BUT THERE'S A MILLION OPPORTUNITIES THAT YOU MIGHT ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE AT.
