It is with a great amount of pride that we present to you the offering for the Inaugural Fall Colors Sale, presented by Bradley Cattle and Hankins Farms. More than a year’s worth of planning, hard work and determination has gone into this event. Greg Hubert and I could not be happier with the product that is being presented for your evaluation and we would like to congratulate the Bradley and Hankins Families on putting together this event.

It has been a pleasure to work with these families, not only in preparation for this sale, but in building the herds that represent this offering. Watching Bruce and Jason select cattle over the past several years proves that both have a keen eye for livestock, and they know what works when it comes to mating them as well. Obviously, they have been building the Charolais herd for years but with Bruce’s acquisition of the Thomas Ranch Red Angus herd they were able to propel their Red Angus operation overnight.

We think you will find several options that fit your families’ goals. Whether you are looking for an open heifer calf or bred female to build a herd around. These females are stacked with generations of genetics that have been proven to produce cattle that win in the show ring and produce in the pasture. One glance through each division will yield a treasure trove of donors and powerful herd matrons that produced this offering. Buy with confidence that your purchase will be backed by generations of great cattle. If Greg, myself or any of the consultants or members of the family can be of assistance before sale day please do not hesitate to get ahold of us. We look forward to seeing you on October 2nd. Sincerely, Colt Keffer & Greg Hubert

Welcome to the SALE

As we finish preparations for our inaugural production sale, we take time to reflect over this past year. In November 2020 Hankins Farms had the blessed opportunity to purchase this farm where we are hosting our first production sale. On the day we looked at the property, which was overgrown and buried in the previous owner’s belongings, Jason looked at me with a smile and said, “next year we are going to host a live sale here.” I simply looked at him with a smirk and thought “yeah right”. Fast forward less than a year and here we are! It has been a whirlwind year and there has been many times I didn’t know if we would finish in time. We hauled off over 500 tires, scrapped over 50 tons of metal, hauled off that much or more in garbage, demolished the old house and one barn, cleared land of trees and old fence, built what seemed like miles of continuous and barbed wire fencing, remodeled the load out and working barn, had new underground wiring and electricity/lighting installed, had new water lines and waterers ran, built an auction block, and an office. This all happened while continuing to run our existing farm full time and raising our family. All this could not have been accomplished without the loving support and assistance of so many. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few of these people. We hired out a few of the jobs and we appreciate each individual who assisted us. And then there is family, the best labor of all because usually it is free! Karen, Jason’s mom and Dwayne and Joy Bauer, Pam’s parents have been instrumental in doing any “job” that needed done. There were several times we think they thought we were crazy, but yet they always supported us. We even enlisted the assistance of Drew Gaddy, Jason’s nephew for a few days. Last, but definitely not least, I want to send the biggest thank-you out to our girls, Emma and Jessi, for their dedication and sacrifice this last year. It has been too many early mornings, late nights, and full days. The girls have taken on so much independent responsibility in the show barn at home and have really been instrumental in keeping our home place running this last year. The girls have grown tired of hearing, “you are just going to have to figure it out for yourself ” and “next year will surely be slower.” Our girls have sacrificed any time off and have not had any resemblance of a vacation, yet have shown grace and dedication all along the way. We truly couldn’t do it without them. Hankins Farms feels truly blessed to have developed this partnership with Bradley Cattle over the past few years. Jason and Bruce have worked hard to develop and grow our Red Angus and Charolais program. Although we are not new to selling top of the line purebred cattle, we dug deep inside our program to offer you the cream of the crop for this year’s inaugural production sale.

Of course, none of this would be possible without you, fellow cattlemen and women, who take the time to evaluate and invest in our cattle. Whether here at our farm on sale day or viewing from your home through CCI.live, we welcome you and thank you for your time and consideration of our program.

Jason & Pam Hankins Family

God Bless, The Hankins - Jason and Pam, Emma and Jessi Cattlemen,

After growing up in a life of buying and selling commercial cattle, I had a dream to someday develop a purebred herd of Charolais & Red Angus genetics of supreme quality.

This sale is the showcase of that dream of an elite offering of these two extremely compatible breeds! The Inaugural Fall Colors Sale will excite all breeders of Charolais, Red Angus and commercial cattle. Both Janna, myself along with our partners in this endeavor, the Jason Hankins family thank you for considering our offering and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Jason, Pam and their children have all been instrumental in the development of these cattle. We have built a relationship that goes far beyond our combination of ideas and knowledge of these breeds.

Bruce & Janna Bradley

I want to acknowledge the purebred breeders that we purchased from to begin our genetic base to build the herds we have put together. Original females and sires were selected from the elite programs of Thomas Charolais, Wright Charolais, Satterfield Charolais, Lindskov-Thiel, Grace Farms and Foglesong Charolais. And again, Thomas Ranch for the Red Angus base of our herd.

If there is anything that the Hankins family or myself can do to assist you with plans to attend this sale, please don’t hesitate to call upon us or either of our Sale Management teams. Sincerely, Bruce Bradley

Granddaughter, Isla Bradley

Collectively, the sale management team, Jason and Bruce couldn’t envision a better place to lead off the sale than with this powerhouse show prospect. HF Belle 113 has all the parts and pieces to maintain a steady show career and be a highly productive donor. Sired by the National Champion, Carbon Copy and out of a Bells & Whistles daughter gives her a ton of breeding flexibility. 113 is a sound structured, complete show heifer who is as attractive as anything in the offering but still possesses an extra shot of muscle that is so desperately needed in today’s show heifers. Combine that with the fact that she has no Outsider in her pedigree makes her extremely valuable.

When Bruce invested in a third of Carbine’s Vision, this is the type of female he had in mind that he could produce. At the end of their career’s, this might end up being the best show heifer of the bunch. You will find that 124 is fault free in her front-end assembly. Smooth shouldered, clean necked, upheaded and attractive. You couple this with her added body depth, structural integrity and attractive hip and hind leg you get one that is built for the long haul. The bottom side of her pedigree gives her a solid foundation to keep the pedal to the metal during her show career. 4

This pair of full sisters are destined to enter the donor pen for their new owner. Their physical build has brood cow written all over it. Both are super cowy in their rib shape, sound structured and built for the long haul. When you study them side by side, you’ll find a little extra muscle to go along with that added rib and stoutness. Both are very similar in their design; you will have to decide which one fits your family’s goals. The dam of these females is the highly productive Circle K Jackie O cow who was Grand Champion at the Missouri State Fair and Champion Cow-Calf at Tulsa and Kansas City. Study the pedigree and find that they do not have any Outsider in there either.

With the way this one is bred your options are limitless when you want to breed or flush her. She is a true outcross to anything out there in the show circuit, sired by the $27,000 half interest SAT Gridmaker 6306 raised by Satterfield. SELLING 3/4 INTEREST AND BUYER’S CHOICE OF SPRING OR FALL POSSESSION.

We feel that building a great Red Angus program should be centered around great females and that great females should produce great bulls. We also feel that 1BBC Renegade 040 is one of those great bulls with several great cows stacked in his pedigree. Sired by the National Champion Bull TR ROJAS Chivas and out of the 627D donor it is clear that Renegade is a very valuable herd sire. Not only does he impress from a phenotypic standpoint with his length of body, rib shape, structural integrity, and muscle dimension. But he brings everything together in a pedigree that is littered with great cows and impactful herd bulls. Saturday, October 2, 2021 • Republic, MO

We decided to lead off this offering of high caliber Red Angus females with the pair of heifers that have intrigued us all year. Two heifers that offer differences but are similar in the fact that they are flat good. Lot 27 comes to us as the complete package. Its hard to build one much better from the ground up, foot shape, flexibility and ease of maintenance best describe her. Here is a female that will continue to impress as she carries a calf and has the tools to be a power donor.

Lot 29 wasn’t as far along in preparation when I saw her, but I knew that she was one of the very best females in the offering. Another daughter of the National Champion Chivas this heifer puts it all together. From the side you are looking at an attractive, deep ribbed female and when you step behind her you will see a shot more muscle and base width than your standard Red Angus. Jason and I think the future for this one is very bright.
