Part 1 Title - Explains what the experiment is about. Can be creative, fun, and interesting.
Problem
Statement - What do
we want to find out?
Hypothesis – What do you think you will find out? A guess/prediction.
RESEARCH:
Background information about your topic. You may use: Internet Encyclopedias Books Magazines.
Part 2 Research – Background information. Bibliography – References used. Materials - What was used. Procedure - The steps used from
beginning to end on how the experiment was completed.
Part 3
Design an Experiment.
Variables – The factor in an experiment that
you measure that may change because of what you are testing.
Controls – The factors in an experiment that remain the same in an experiment.
Part 4 Observations – What did you
actually see during your experiment? Use: Charts, diagrams, photos, and graphs to record data.
Part 4 Results – Write down what happened in the experiment.
Conclusion – Tell if your hypothesis was correct or incorrect. Answer the problem. What did you learn?
Abstract – Write a three paragraph summary about the entire project.
