Free Report Reveals How to Avoid Getting Stuck Owning Two Homes
www.mtltimes.ca
September 12, 2018
MONTREAL - West Island - Every month, thousands of homeowners are faced with the stressful dilemma of whether to buy first or sell first. You see, if you buy before selling, you could run the risk of owning two homes. Or, just as bad, if you sell first, you could end up homeless. It's what insiders in the industry call the Real Estate Catch 22, and it's an extremely anxious position to find yourself in. This financial and emotional tightrope is one you usually have to walk alone because most agents have no way of helping you with this predicament. But one local realtor is using a unique Guaranteed Sale Program which solves this dilemma. This program guarantees the sale of your present home before you take possession of your new one. If your home doesn't sell in 120 days, they will buy it from you themselves for the previously agreed price ensuring that you never get caught in the Real Estate Catch 22. Before you hire any professional, you should research the market to find out who can do the best job for you. When interviewing agents, find out what kind of guarantee they are willing to give you with respect to the selling of your home. Unfortunately, you'll find that most agents simply cannot make such a guarantee. To help you learn more about this program and how it can make your move less stressful, a FREE special report has been prepared entitled "How to Avoid Getting Stuck with Two Homes". To order a FREE Special Report, visit www.WestislandGuaranteedSold.com or to hear a brief recorded message about how to order your FREE copy of this report call toll-free 1-800-727-7105 and enter 3005. MISS WONG – The first Asian Brasserie of its kind By: Alyssa de Rosa / mtltimes.ca
FOOD - Get ready to be transported to a bustling and mysterious market plucked from the streets of Hong Kong –this new pan-Asian restaurant, in Laval’s Centropolis complex (1780 Avenue Pierre-Péladeau, Laval), will satisfy every Asian-fusion craving. Known as the old Moomba supper club location, Lucky Belly Group co-founder Dan Pham and Foodtastic lead designer Jacques Gaspo transformed this nostalgic hotspot into a 10, 000 sq. ft. dream. As soon as customers walk in they definitely won’t feel like they’re in Montreal or let alone Laval anymore. This majestic location is splashed with neon lights and Chinese lanterns, making people feel like they’ve taken a trip to some exotic Asian location. This one-stop venue is perfect for dinner, drinks, www.mtltimes.ca
good music and fun vibes. It’s your next go-to 5-à-7, date or girl’s night spot. The interior of the restaurant seats 300, and the outside terrace (heated in winter and fall) seats 130, perfect for keeping warm and staying out during those colder months. When stepping into Miss Wong you are definitely immersed in its beauty and uniqueness. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and the décor is one words cannot describe. Miss Wong’s aesthetic was inspired by Dan Pham’s trip to San Francisco and Vancouver. Its enchanting décor is divided into various rooms and spaces that give the restaurant its market-place feel. In some corners guests can find neon street signs while in others, guests will find lounge-seating areas perfect for groups. 9

FOOD - As part of the $200-million revitalization project of the Place Ville Marie Esplanade, Montreal foodies will soon be able to enjoy a brand-new food concept in the heart of downtown. A gourmet biergarten is schedule to open in 2019 at the renown Place Ville-Marie. Named Cathcart Restaurants & Biergarten, this major open-air food area is a creation of Sid Lee Architecture and A5 Hospitality (Hà, Jatoba, Kampai Garden). The new space will be open seven days a week, all year round. With 35,000-square-foot (3,252-square-metre) of “food” space, the future glass pavilion of the Place
12
Ville Marie Esplanade will certainly be the new happening place downtown Montreal. The restaurant area will
offer seating for more than a thousand people with 15 unique restaurant concepts, such as resto-bars, bistros and cafés, including three restaurants with table service.
The chef ’s line up hasn’t been totally revealed, but it in-
cludes Antonio Park, who has been part of the A5 team for a while now. Renown sommeliers and mixologists will also be part of the massive food project.

Resplendent Il uminations A new exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum By: Sergio Martinez / mtltimes.ca
14
ART- Religion is one of those issues on which people may have many and frequently conflicting views. There is one thing, however, on which people of conflicting credos and even people who don't profess any religious faith like myself, may coincide: religion as a human practice has significantly contributed to the production of great art. All religions I should say, from ancient polytheism to the dominant, mostly monotheistic faiths of today, have left a mark in the diverse domains of the arts. The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is putting on display some of those expressions of religiosity in a very peculiar form of artistic creation: the minimalist and many times anonymous works accompanying the so-called Books of Hours. These early texts were made for the private devotion of men and women and originated in the Middle Ages extending through the Renaissance as well. Under the title "Resplendent Illuminations – Book of Hours from the 13th to the 16th century in Quebec Collections" the MMFA will be offering the opportunity to examine some of these luminous expressions of Christian religiosity designed for lay people. The earliest of these works predate the invention of the printing press, therefore, were entirely made by hand. Once the printing press was invented, they became more readily available to people other than the rich. The printing press also made the illuminations to lose some of the local characteristics of the early paintings, since now they were standardized to the parameters set by Rome. www.mtltimes.ca

During the opening ceremony, Nathalie Bondil, Director of the MMFA, remarked the fact that this is the first time that such an exhibition is presented in Canada. The display is set in a way that allows the visitor to examine the miniature works in detail, even some magnifying glasses are available for that purpose. "Our evocative installation is intended to permit the www.mtltimes.ca
visitor to appreciate each work intimately," said Hilliard T. Goldfarb, Senior Curator – Collections, and Curator of Old Masters at the MMFA. "Resplendent Illuminations" will be open until January 6, 2019, at the Graphic Arts Centre in the JeanNoël Desmarais Pavilion, Level S 2 of the MMFA, 1380 Sherbrooke West.
