FESTIVAL

Celebrate Oktoberfest in Montreal this Fall By: Elsa- Maret / mtltimes.ca

FESTIVAL – The idea of consuming litres of alcohol in 72h would never cross my mind or take my fancy, unless it’s Oktoberfest season ! Come the falling of leaves and the change in colour of the city, Oktoberfest is a last resort to celebrate the few warmer days left. Originating from Germany, Oktoberfest has now spread its pints worldwide, encouraging beer consumption to its limits. If your gut can absorb a sickly amount of beer, this Oktoberfest celebration in Montreal will be perfect for you. This year, “Les Jardineries” and the “Independent Brewpubs of Montreal” are joining forces to offer Montrealers an Oktoberfest to remember. This will be the third year the event is hosted, offering a much wider variety of

www.mtltimes.ca

beers. Some of the best micro-breweries in Quebec and Montreal will be at the event, offering tastings from some of their signature beers. This includes Benelux, Isle de Garde, Espace Public, La Succrusale, Le Cheval Blanc, and Boswell Brewery. The event will be hosted from September 27th until September 29th with free entry and free activities for all. This year’s Oktoberfest will include a mini-putt, bowling and ping-pong area as well as a lounge area with deck chairs and hamacs. Free Report Reveals How to Avoid Getting Stuck Owning Two Homes

www.mtltimes.ca

September 19, 2018

MONTREAL - West Island - Every month, thousands of homeowners are faced with the stressful dilemma of whether to buy first or sell first. You see, if you buy before selling, you could run the risk of owning two homes. Or, just as bad, if you sell first, you could end up homeless. It's what insiders in the industry call the Real Estate Catch 22, and it's an extremely anxious position to find yourself in. This financial and emotional tightrope is one you usually have to walk alone because most agents have no way of helping you with this predicament. But one local realtor is using a unique Guaranteed Sale Program which solves this dilemma. This program guarantees the sale of your present home before you take possession of your new one. If your home doesn't sell in 120 days, they will buy it from you themselves for the previously agreed price ensuring that you never get caught in the Real Estate Catch 22. Before you hire any professional, you should research the market to find out who can do the best job for you. When interviewing agents, find out what kind of guarantee they are willing to give you with respect to the selling of your home. Unfortunately, you'll find that most agents simply cannot make such a guarantee. To help you learn more about this program and how it can make your move less stressful, a FREE special report has been prepared entitled "How to Avoid Getting Stuck with Two Homes". To order a FREE Special Report, visit www.WestislandGuaranteedSold.com or to hear a brief recorded message about how to order your FREE copy of this report call toll-free 1-800-727-7105 and enter 3005. You can call any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Get your free special report NOW to find out how to guarantee the cash sale of your home. Vintage Clothing Sale: 50s to 00s By: Elsa- Maret / mtltimes.ca

FESTIVAL - During this time of year, I like to re-do my Winter wardrobe ahead of the cold days. Through out some old pieces which did not survive the last Winter and add a little bit more colour to my wardrobe instead of the regular blacks and dark blues. What better way to do this than going to a huge vintage clothing sale ? Find some of the best unique pieces ranging from the 1950s to today. The sale will take place on September 22nd and 23rd from noon until 20:00. There will be over 15 dierent vendors with eccentric and unique vintage clothes, accessories and footwear. There will be selling their pieces for aordable prices in a welcoming atmosphere. The sale either accepts either cash or credit and make sure to arrive early enough to grab the best pieces. For more information about the event and its location, click below. Enjoy! http://mtltimes.ca/Montreal/local-businesses/vintageclothing-sale-50s-to-00s/

FYI

September 19, 2018

Smokers and workers in Canadian Legal marijuana business could be banned entry to the United States FYI– Buying or working in the marijuana industry might be legal in Canada next month but according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office you will be denied entry to the United States of America. On October 17, 2018 in Canada, marijuana will be legal to buy and smoke across the country. However if you are planning a trip to the United States think twice. The U.S. does not plan on changing its border policies to account for Canada’s new laws on legalizing marijuana. The United States of America does not recognize legal marijuana as a legal business. Canadians crossing the boarder who like to smoke the occasional marijuana should keep that to themselves

10

otherwise they might be refused entry into the land of the free. People that work or have connections with the new legalized business have been already placed on a lifetime ban in entering the United States. Unites States border patrol officers will not ask about marijuana use but the questioning could lead there if marijuana smoke is smelt or a dog detects marijuana residue. http://mtltimes.ca/Montreal/social-life/smokers-andworkers-in-canadian-legal-marijuana-business-couldbe-banned-entry-to-the-united-states/ www.mtltimes.ca
