Behind the BUFF® clothing collection there is a great history. During the last 20 years, BUFF® has dressed its athletes to help them meet their challenges, from tough adventure raids to climbs of the world’s highest mountains, BTT trials and the most prestigious mountain races. The collection you will see on the following pages has been designed for them, taking into account their own requirements, and these items will be worn by our BUFF® Pro Team in the world’s most important competitions during this 2014 season. Tony ‘Naked Guy’ Krupicka is one of the best ultra-trail runners in the world. He is known for his amazing results as well as his authentic image: long hair and beard, topped off with a minimalist approach, as he always runs with the bare minimum. The charisma he transmits probably makes him one of the most influential trail runners at the moment.

His main goal for the 2014 season is to compete at Chamonix again and to top the podium of the UTMB 2014, France. As every year, he will take part in some of the most important ultra-trail races in the USA, France and Spain, in addition to attempting to beat one or more personal challenges.

Sein wichtigstes Ziel für die Saison 2014 ist es, wieder in Chamonix den Wettkampf anzutreten und bei der UTMB 2014 in Frankreich eine Medaille zu gewinnen. Wie jedes Jahr nimmt er wieder an den wichtigsten Ultra-Trails in den Vereinigten Staat en, Frankreich und Spanien teil, und ebenso hat er sich verschiedene persönliche Ziele gesetzt.

Kerí entschied sich für ein „Tiermuster“, und zwar die Flecken eines Leoparden in Dunkelviolett und Schwarz. Dabei ließ sie sich von einem ihrer Lieblingskleider inspirieren. The result is a psychedelic-ecological design which is as special as the rider who created it. For his design, McRae decided on a snow camouflage pattern combining grey tones on white. This type of camouflage is used by the special forces in winter surroundings, and applied to the BUFF® balaclava it gives a truly “freestyle” result. Tony Krupicka, popularly known as the “Naked Guy,” is considered one of the world’s greatest ultra-trail runners. He started the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc for the second time but had to drop out due to physical problems after leading a large part of the race.

One of the world’s leading female long-distance trail runners. World Champion in 2012, she has added to her list of distinctions the title of runner-up in the European Ultra Trail Championship in 2013, second place in the UTMB and Transvulcania and victories in the Emmona marathon and the Cavalls del Vent race.

Her career history places her among the best ultra trail runners of recent years. She came third in the UTMB in 2012 and 2013 and is currently the Ultra Champion of Catalonia.

Born and raised in in Quebec on August 19th 1989, at just 6 years old, he joined his home town’s professional ski team which he left at 11 to try his luck at freeskiing. Phil put in the hours and, earning his stripes between jumps, falls and broken skis, has become one of the best. He won himself a top-10 position in the most important freeskiing championships of 2010 and 2011 (X-Games, Euro X-Games and War of Rails).

The German rider born in 1989 stood in his skis for the first time at age of 3. He started with ski racing and then got into mogul skiing, which got him a spot in the national team when he was 15 years old. When he was 16, he discovered freeskiing and was instantly hooked. “Freeskiing sets no boundaries to my creativity. I can totally express myself.” Actually Bene is training for the incoming Winter Olympic Games.

Ich kann mich ganz frei ausdrücken.“

El rider alemán nacido en 1989 se colocó unos esquís por primera vez a sus 3 años. Keri Herman Keri started out as an ice-hockey player. She hit her first rail at age 21 and since then she has taken the slopestyle scene by storm with X Games silvers and AFP podiums. Herman now holds a total of 4 Winter X Games medals: two in Aspen and 2 from European X Games in Tinges, France. In 2013, Herman won the opening Olympic qualifying period slopestyle World Cup and the Copper U.S. VISA Grand Prix World Cup. Keri begann als Eishockey-Spielerin. Mit 21 begann sie mit dem Skifahren und hat seitdem die Slopestyle-Szene mit Silbermedaillen bei den X Games und mit AFP-Siegen im Sturm erobert. Eine beeindruckende und passionierte Fahrerin, die immer als Letzte den Kicker, die Piste und die Tanzfläche verlässt. Siegerin der Snowboard Freeride Tour 2011. Anne-Flore nació en 1984 en Suiza. He got 2nd place in the World Raids Championship in 2012 and finished 4th in Dakar 2012. In 2013 he won the Serres Rally Raid and in 2014 is going to fight for the Dakar again.

Roberto Rolfo was born in 1980 in Turin, Italy. He has raced against the world’s greatest motorbike riders in the Moto 2 and Moto GP championships. He currently competes in the FIM Super Sport World Championship.

After eleven editions, this competition has established itself as Europe’s leading trail running event. With four different races, it attracts over 5,000 participants to Chamonix to run the most spectacular parts of the French Alps. BUFF® is one of the sponsors that has been present at the event for several years, including the participation of the BUFF® Pro Team, which has achieved magnificent results in the last two editions, with four podium finishes by Núria Picas and Emma Roca in the top race (UTMB) and a victory for Arnau Julià in the TDS. Bringing together over a thousand participants, the Cape is considered the “Tour de France” of mountain biking. It travels through picture-postcard landscapes in an adventure that has become famous among amateurs and professionals for its toughness and physical demands. In addition to being sponsors of the event, in 2013 BUFF® entered its Pro Team, with successful results. Next year they will take up the challenge again. TITAN DESERT Inspired by the Dakar Rally philosophy, this mountain bike competition consists in covering long stages across Morocco’s Sahara Desert. The tough climatic conditions and the sand dunes have made it an emblematic and international event. The BUFF® Epic Run is a race in which taking part is what really counts. A route littered with all kinds of obstacles and surprises that challenge all the runners. Water, mud and thousands of costumed people make up the habitual atmosphere of this event, which now has two annual editions (Barcelona and Madrid) and will soon have a third version in the snow. DEW TOUR The winter edition of the DEW TOUR is one of the most complete freestyle events of the season. For four days, skiers and snowboarders from all over the world compete in the categories of Superpipe, Slopestyle and Big Air. BUFF® is a collaborator in the event, and riders of our Freestyle International Crew participate in it. DUB The first edition of the Down Urban Barcelona was held in 2013, with many international specialists in downhill mountain biking taking part in this unique event. The streets of Barcelona formed the perfect setting for this urban descent that inspired some spectacular duels. Das Down Urban Barcelona fand im Jahr 2013 zum ersten Mal statt. Internationale Mountainbikefahrer nahmen an diesem einzigartigen Wettbewerb teil. Original BUFF SA made the first BUFF® tubular in 1992, thus creating a new textile product category: the seam-free multifunctional headwear. Nowadays, more than 20 years of history on our back are giving us the know how to keep leading the headwear market. • Who makes BUFF® headwear and where?

A dedicated team of 100+ people produces the BUFF® headwear. This process is done in-house, from the design stage to manufacturing and shipping, in a 8.000m2 factory near Barcelona, Spain. More than 4,5 million units are made every year. • Which products does Original BUFF S.A. offer?

Original BUFF, S.A. offers a wide range of products throughout 2 different collections: the Autumn-Winter collection, and the Spring-Summer collection. • For which sports are BUFF® products recommended?

Our versatile products are suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities such as trekking, hiking, running, skiing, cycling, motorcycling, snowboarding, bmx, bouldering, horse riding or any other. Always display a great product image: offer variety of products, designs and colours to your customers, replace damaged headers whenever needed; never leave a rack/hook empty or half empty; locate the display in a hot spot with high traffic such as near the counter or on the main corridor. The first product created was seamless and still it is; nowadays the big variety of products considers both, seamless and non-seamless. • Is there only one size?

No. There are sizes available. The Adult size fits most adults, Junior and child sizes are intended for teenagers from 4 to 16 years old, and Baby size is the smallest and fits kids up to 3 years of age. By having three sizes we achieve a perfect fit for the different consumer sizes. Also designs are specific according to the age. • Is it possible to customize BUFF® headwear?

Yes. Apart from our retail stock BUFF® collection, Original Buff, S.A also designs and manufactures custom BUFF® imprinted with company logos, associations, clubs, and events. Please ask for our Custom BUFF® catalog if you are interested. • Why other brands are generally cheaper?

There are many reasons. Generally, the type of materials competitors use are less expensive and are of lower quality, even though they claim to use microfibers. Most competitors also do not invest in R&D, design, or neither have a marketing department dedicated specifically in this category so they have lower costs. We are completely confident that consumers recognize our superior quality and the added value that BUFF® products provide. • How do I know I bought an original BUFF® product?

Just to look for our BUFF® logo. All BUFF® products always have a BUFF® logo printed or sewn on the textile. At retail shops, it is sold with a unique header packaging where the logo is very visible. • Has the BUFF® logo changed?

Bereits das erste BUFF® Tuch war nahtlos und ist es natürlich auch heute noch. Unser großes Angebot an verschiedenen Produkten bietet inzwischen beides – nahtlos und Produkte mit Nähten. • Gibt es nur eine Größe?

Nein, es gibt drei Größen. Die Adult-Größe passt fast allen Erwachsenen. Die Größen Junior und Child sind für Kinder im Alter von 4 bis 16 Jahren geeignet. Die Baby-Größe ist die kleinste Größe und ist passend für Kleinkinder bis zu 3 Jahren. Mit diesen drei Größen erreichen wir eine perfekte Passform für die unterschiedlichen Kopfgrößen. Auch die Designs werden auf die Größen bzw. Altersgruppen abgestimmt. • Besteht die Möglichkeit, BUFF® Headwear individuell zu gestalten?

El primer producto creado era y sigue siendo sin costuras. Entre gran variedad de productos de que disponemos actualmente, los hay con y sin costuras. • ¿Existe sólo una talla?

No. Hay tres tallas disponibles. La talla Adult que se adapta, a la mayoría de adultos, la talla Junior / Child para niños de 4 a 16 años, y la más pequeña, la talla Baby, para niños menores de 4 años. De este modo, el producto se adapta mejor a las necesidades de nuestros clienes más jóvenes. También el tipo de estampado es distinto según la edad. • ¿Se puede personalizar el estampado de un tubular BUFF®?

Sí. A parte de los productos BUFF® de nuestra colección, Original BUFF, S.A. también diseña y fabrica tubulares BUFF® personalizados con el logotipo de empresas, asociaciones, clubes, eventos, siempre pensando en promociones de alto nivel.
