The world in a bag
“Keep on Dreaming!” is the motto inspiring the new SS2017 collection by Pomikaki, protagonist of the cover story of this new MIA issue. A dreamlike and colorful world where a woman’s bag can enclose dreams and desires, becoming much more than a simple accessory, the essential companion of our days. Much has been done since 2012, when TOP S.r.l. Company in San Donà di Piave has embarked on this new creative journey to create a 100% Italian design product, where quality and functionality perfectly combine. The collections have evolved season after season, adding new iconic models that have become real-world bestsellers, as shown in sales across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In the Spring-Summer 2017 collection we can see a vibrant color range, from vitaminic shades like yellow and tangerine orange, red lacquer and indigo, proposed in various styles. A special mention goes to the new “Exclusive” line, made in more sophisticated colors and embellished with decorative motifs inspired by the latest seasonal trends: from the embroidered swallows of the Camelia bag, to the rock details of the Constance and Chiara models, decorated with metal studs and fringes. And for the real Pomikaki-addicted girls, the glamorous touch to be added is “Scent of PMK”, a customized fragrance going together with the bags premium packaging.

What do you do at Moodalisa.com? What is your position? I am in charge of supply chain and merchandising, my main role within Italy’s Got Style (the company founder of Moodalisa.com) is to search and start up relationships with Italian brands, to offer Arab e-shoppers products that can satisfy their taste; developing and maintaining partners’ portfolio, presenting our Company to new potential partners during fairs and events. Moreover, I take care of our catalog, keeping up to date with current trends and price targets in the Middle East fashion retail market. How come you are so fond of fashion, and of Made in Italy in particular? My fashion addiction was born when I still was a little girl, in my family I had the chance to see how the typical Moroccan caftan was made, from the fabric choice to the final fitting. I was very keen on the customers’ reactions after trying the garments on, and listening to their comments. My passion for Made in Italy raised in the same years, as my father was importing Italian clothes,

accessories, and dolls; I noticed the difference between the local and Italian products, I was fascinated by the colors, the cut , the design, the textiles, the high quality and the sense of craftsmanship. That’s how I learnt to love all that looks beautifully done.
