FESTIVAL OF LIGHT: LANTERN PROCESSION

Soak up the atmosphere and watch hundreds of twinkling lanterns travel through Newbury town centre as the community comes together to enjoy the festive annual Lantern Procession. Starting at 4pm, this free, family friendly event is presented by the Corn Exchange Newbury and 101 Outdoor Arts.

THE CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS – LANTERN PARADE

The Parade is a celebration of community and the arts and encourages local people to get together, creating fantastic artworks, dancing, and parading their fabulous creations through Maidenhead town centre. This year the parade will take a new route to celebrate the new Riverside Quarter. Lantern making workshops are available 19th/26th November and 3rd December.

JUMP! is a vibrant and inspiring dance showcase of work-inprogress, existing pieces and new work, from dancers, companies and students. This year JUMP! is the finale of Dance Reading Festival 22 and is bigger and better than ever before. The King plans to step down from the throne and everyone expects him to name either his niece or nephew as heir. Rosaura has fled her homeland in disguise, trying to find a new home in a country about to be torn apart by civil war. All while Segismund, true heir to the throne, lies locked in a tower dreaming of escape.
