WOULD YOU LIKE TO LOSE YOUR MUM GUILT?
Would you like to parent differently? Do you sometimes feel you are just surviving the daily grind? Then read on to see how Claire could help you.
“I’m Claire, a Conscious Parent Coach based in Arborfield. I am a single mum and have two children. I believe that parenting is a two-way relationship so that your children can teach you too. When I had my first child, I struggled to parent in the gentle way I wanted and having found a way to limit my shouting, not use punishments or bribes, I wanted to help other mums find that same calm.
My overriding ambition is to free mothers from the shame that comes wrapped up in the term ‘mum guilt’, to identify and deal with their own triggers leaving them able to parent consciously.
I have created a friendly community of mums who can support each other to recreate that village feel. Find us on Facebook “Conscious Parents Re-Villaging”. Follow me on Instagram claireparentcoach or visit my website www.claireparentcoach.co.uk to find out how to work with me.”
MUSIC TUTORS AVAILABLE TO TEACH MUSIC TO PUPILS IN LOCAL SCHOOLS
Music Guru are a dedicated team of instrumental tutors who visit local schools, offering children the opportunity to broaden their horizons and skills by learning a musical instrument through parent paid lessons. This dedication to learning an instrument through 1:1 and small group lessons, in turn helps classroom teachers enhance music provision and the music status within their schools. Learning an instrument does wonders for the developing brain of our younger generation with many skills being transferred to everyday life and academic subjects. It improves listening, analytical, math and processing skills. It boosts confidence, classroom engagement, teamwork and coordination. It gives children who can’t always express themselves in words, the outlet to express themselves through music. Most importantly, it is fun as well! To arrange lessons at your school, please contact E: themusicguru4u@gmail.com W: https://musicgurulessons.co.uk

DEVELOPING LIFE SKILLS TO HELP CHILDREN THRIVE
Life 101 runs life skills courses for children, covering topics such as leadership, resilience and wellbeing. The courses are designed and run by Greig Trout, a former CSI and founder of 101 Things To Do When You Survive, and Jaime Thurston, CEO of the 52 Lives charity and author of two books on kindness. Their next Resilience Course will take place in February half-term. The course is designed to help children find the confidence to aim high, to persevere and not to let challenges get in the way of them living a full and happy life. Course places are limited and tend to book up quickly. Book your place before January 15th and receive a 10% Earlybird discount. Location: Floreat Montague Park Primary School, Wokingham. Holme Grange were delighted to receive their first review in the Good Schools Guide this year reflecting their unique educational experience. The Headteacher, Mrs Claire Robinson said “I am very proud of the dedicated team who continually strive to support our mission to inspire achievement beyond the bounds of expectation where everyone can succeed”. Holme Grange provides an environment where pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning, develop good work habits and gain a sense that learning can thrill and invigorate.
