Bracknell Forest Festival

Bracknell Forest Council and The Lexicon have teamed up to create a fabulous forest festival to celebrate the town centre’s fifth birthday. Taking place in the town centre from Wednesday August 24 to Sunday September 4 2022, the event will see the return of the mighty giant tree giants, beautiful forest sprites, a unique immersive night forest experience and a fun filled programme of entertainment, education and give-aways. Explore, celebrate and play at The Museum of English Rural Life

There are always plenty of reasons to visit The Museum of English Rural Life in Reading whether you’re looking to explore the galleries or have fun in the garden! This summer, they’re using their collections to inspire events and activities on the theme of CARE. Explore ways you can take care of yourselves, others and nature in their free family event on 10th August, go and meet the animals from Miller’s Ark Farm on the 17th, and pick up a ‘Caring for Nature’ activity pack throughout the summer. Along with their partners, Reading Museum, they’re continuing to celebrate local history through the Huntley & Palmers themed biscuit programme – including a fun-filled family activity pack and a chance to meet Mr Palmer himself! Let’s go fly a kite – the festival is back!

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is excited to announce that the Kite Festival is back this year, taking place on Sunday 4th September in Maidenhead’s Boyn Grove Park (Punt Hill). In the lead up to the festival, families can create their own kites in a series of workshops held at Norden Farm. Festival goers can buy kits to make on the day or bring kites they’ve made already and fill the sky with brightly coloured dancing kites. Superheroes needed for a special summer holiday mission!

Enter mission control at the Corn Exchange where children can transform into superhero characters and head out for an immersive adventure around Newbury town centre! Have fun this summer with Reading Museum – they’ve got lots of fun activities, including Out in the Forbury: Bug Club where they will be in the Forbury Gardens, and you can search for creepy-crawlies and draw your discoveries.
