YEAR
7s EMBRACE EVERY ASPECT OF SCHOOL LIFE AT THE KING’S SCHOOL CHESTER
From representing their school at netball, football, athletics, hockey and more, to taking to the stage in a show-stopping production of Les Misérables, and even being inspired by a visit from award-winning author, Phil Earle, Year 7s at The King’s School Chester have certainly packed a lot into their first two terms. Head of Year 7, Sharon Gareh, has been impressed with how pupils have thrown themselves into life at King’s. She said: “Pupils have so many opportunities here – academic, sporting, musical and a whole range of co-curricular clubs – and it has been wonderful to see the Year 7s embrace every single one of them.” Your child can experience King’s for themselves on their Year 5 activity days. The Grange Junior School students have been making the most of the brighter Spring days by taking their learning outside. Reception class children had a visit to the school’s woodland area for their ‘Winter into Spring Hunt’. They spotted the signs of both seasons and enjoyed ticking them off their lists. Year 3 showed great creativity in their outdoor learning, making ‘blobsters’ out of clay, twigs and leaves. Year 5 kept busy by making shelters and then warmed up afterwards with a yummy hot chocolate reward. Outdoor learning is a fun way for the children to develop their skills in teamwork, problem solving and creativity. T: 01606 539039 W: www.grange.org.uk
