Welcome to our October Half Term Issue, offering you a full array of autumnal events and activities to keep you and your family entertained during this colourful season. As the leaves change tones and schools break for a week, take some time to enjoy a seasonal trail, a lantern parade or even a trip to the circus!
These pages have plenty of ideas of things to do and places to go for some friendly spooky fun or venues with fantastic fireworks to enjoy in November.
Once you have planned your half term fun, head to the back for a preview of what shows are taking to the stage over the next few weeks and in the festive season, so that you can book some in advance. In November we will be back with our Winter Issue, which we can guarantee will be full of magic and sparkle!

The Manchester Grammar School is delighted that year 11 pupil Ben has spent the summer training with the U17 Sale Sharks Junior Academy. His dedication and hard work have been outstanding, and this experience will no doubt further enhance his rugby skills as he prepares for the upcoming season.
The Sale Sharks Junior Academy is a youth rugby development programme affiliated with the Sale Sharks, a professional rugby union club based in Manchester. The Junior Academy is part of the club’s broader player development pathway, which aims to nurture young rugby talent and prepare them for potential careers in professional rugby.

Musical family fun at the Stoller Hall
Head to Manchester’s Stoller Hall this autumn for interactive and casual family concerts. On Friday 25th October, join the Toot! Ensemble on a musical journey for ages 7-11, from the majestic Scottish Highlands to the blues of the American deep south, to the tropical sounds of a Cuban beach! Hop aboard a Halloween Ghost Train at East Lancashire Railway
Crow-no, the Pumpkin King and his sinister scarecrows have set their sights on the East Lancashire Railway’s Halloween celebrations. Are you brave enough to join the Monster Squad, board the train and save the day?
