We are heading towards the season of magic and sparkle, our favourite time of the year! As the nights draw in, we have all those twinkly lights to look forward to, cosy evenings, school nativity plays and seasonal family adventures.

We have so many things to do and places to go packed into this issue, to tide you and your family over for the next eight weeks of the festive period and beyond!

Christmas always begins with Bents

Manchester: the most magical place to be this Christmas

The Snowman with Mimi and the Mountain Dragon – screening with live orchestra

Prepare to be transported to a world of fantasy and adventure with the Hallé orchestra and watch two magical stories unfold on the Hallé big screen. Revolting Rhymes at The Stoller Hall this December

The forest: strange, eery, mysterious, magnificent. A place of magic and surprise where nothing is quite what it seems… You might think you know the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but this musical adaption of Roald Dahl’s wicked Revolting Rhymes turns this classic woodland tale into a cheeky, riotous adventure. Performed by musicians from Chetham’s School of Music, this shows also features the story of Mr Bear’s Christmas as well as more winter-themed musical pieces.
