In March 2022, Wellingborough School was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), the body approved by the Government for the inspection of independent schools. Inspections take place roughly every six years and allow an opportunity for the school to be scrutinised in considerable depth.

• From a Compliance perspective – the School has been found to be compliant in all areas, such as those related to Welfare, Health and Safety of students, and Safeguarding;

• Educational Quality is divided into two areas - pupils’ academic and other achievements, and pupils’ personal development and, in both, the School has been awarded the grade of Excellent, the highest possible judgment.

The key findings quoted from the ISI report were:
