CHESTER HOUSE ESTATE LAUNCHES NEW LEARNING OUTREACH PROGRAMME

The Chester House Estate is delighted to unveil its new Learning Outreach Programme, a mobile service that enhances history in schools across Northamptonshire. Nigel Anderson, Learning and Engagement Officer, said: “We’re really excited about our new outreach programme - this option will allow us to enhance history already taught in schools with real life artefacts and knowledge found on our estate and in our county. We are really proud of our rich history at Chester House Estate, and now we can share this with more curious young people. Since the pandemic, learning has changed, and we’ve found that schools are reluctant to travel to us, so this service is in high demand and schools are already reaching out to us to book.” Outreach Programmes are budget-friendly, eliminating travel expenses for schools without compromising on the quality and depth of the learning. They can offer individual workshops and assemblies which are detailed online. Schools can enquire via their website: www.chesterhouseestate.org/learning/outreach 4 WINTER 2023

PLEASE RETURN USED OR UNWANTED INHALERS TO THE PHARMACY

Did you know putting used or unwanted inhalers in the bin can cause them to leak gases? This is bad for the environment and can contribute to global warming. Please help to stop this. Inhalers need to be incinerated to prevent greenhouse gases and your local community pharmacy can support with this. So, the next time you are collecting inhalers from your local community pharmacist, remember to take your used or unwanted inhalers with you so your local pharmacy team can arrange for them to be safely disposed of. There is absolutely no charge to you for using this service. For more information about this service please visit www.icnorthamptonshire.org.uk
