What has made the biggest difference is not what Dr. Tolbert has done to help my back. It’s the way that she and her entire staff have treated me from the very beginning. For them, it was never about a broken down body part. It was about helping me find me again.

Regenerative Medicine Regenerative medicine uses minimally invasive procedures, along with a patient’s own body, to regrow and repair damaged cartilage and ligaments. We use tools such as prolotherapy, PRP and stem cell injections to accomplish this goal without surgery. We are even beginning to use regenerative medicine for hair loss.
Mind-Body Connection The evidence shows that the power of the mind is important to healing the body, and vice versa. That’s why we recently added a psychologist to our team to educate patients about the strength of the mind as it relates to the body.

Thrilled to bring you our annual ARTS issue—chock-full of compelling, entertaining and even daring works by local artists. Our cover story, Material Girl, keys in on the mixedmedia works of Erika Ostrander. When our editorial team met to review the images, an impromptu debate broke out about Erika’s work, some of which is comprised of human hair and nail clippings. To some it was “really gross.” To others it was pure genius—all a timely reminder that art truly exists in the eye of the beholder. In this issue we catch up with Tommy Gelinas. You may remember a few years ago we did a story on his efforts to have a local museum entirely dedicated to the history of the Valley (with a strong emphasis on pop culture). An avid memorabilia fan, Tommy had amassed an impressive collection that he was storing in a space at his Chatsworth office. Now that collection—in all its glory—is masterfully displayed at a cavernous space of its own in Van Nuys. The Valley Relics Museum is a particularly fun step back in time for anyone who grew up here, but it is also an enjoyable experience for east coast natives like me. Who can resist cracking a smile at the original neon sign for Mel’s Diner or an assemblage of 1970s banana-seat bikes hanging from the ceiling, hinting at the movie ET, that was partly filmed in the Valley? I was bummed to see a few restaurants close in recent months—Boneyard Cocina & Cantina (formerly SOCA) and Laurel Point to name a few. Still other establishments continue popping up on the Boulevard. Contributor Karen Young recently brought Santuari in Toluca Lake to my attention, giving it rave reviews. She doles out compliments sparingly (just one thing I love about her), so we asked her to do a piece on the eatery, which features Mediterranean food and a charming Moorish vibe. I, for one, can’t wait to give it a whirl. As we embark on the new year, a reminder that we value your feedback and input. If you have a story idea for VB magazine (published every six weeks and available online at ourventurablvd.com) feel free to email me at linda@goldenstate.is. And be sure to take a moment to check our new digital platform Golden State, goldenstate.is—a treasure trove of compelling, visually exciting stories in California.

hen you walk into the Valley Relics Museum and Events Space, discreetly tucked inside two hangars at the Van Nuys Airport, it’s impossible not to smile. The cavernous, kitschy space is filled with the most unique—and bombastic—artifacts from across the San Fernando Valley. Amidst the classic neon signs, there’s the blinged-out 1964 Pontiac Bonneville wagon of Nudie Cohn, old Hollywood’s famous rodeo tailor, who turned everyone from Roy Rogers to Glen Campbell into rhinestone cowboys. Towering overhead: the massive equestrian statues that once graced the entrance to the Porter Ranch development. And in another corner, there’s an enticing row of vintage ‘80s arcade games from the beloved Family Fun Arcade in Granada Hills, which visitors can play for free. There are also smaller wonders, like one of the late comedien Phyllis Diller’s wigs and even a few gross ones like a gold ring featuring the molars of 193040s actor Jack Oakie. He lived at one of the Valley’s most prominent estates back in the day, Oakridge in Northridge. The museum is the life work of Tommy Gelinas, the infectiously passionate keeper of the Valley’s most relatable history. Tall, bespectacled and always wearing a hat, Tommy has collected memorabilia for as long as he can remember— dating back to the days when he kicked off his silkscreen T-shirt business. Now as a successful businessman, he can really put his chops into his hobby. Tommy is the quintessential Valley boy, growing up in North Hills and having also lived in Porter Ranch, Northridge and Sherman Oaks. He has fond memories of his childhood: “riding my bicycle, no shirt, no shoes, hanging out with all the kids on the block, riding all over the Valley during the summer, drinking out of the hose, driving around in the car with no seatbelt.” It was these memories in particular that fueled Tommy’s quest to rediscover and understand his youth—ultimately leading to his extensive collection. Around the turn of the millennium, he started researching local history and was disappointed by what he found. “You can find a little bit on Mulholland bringing water to the Valley, the Tongva and Chumash Indians,” Tommy says. “It’s recycled history, which is really important and cool, but what about all the real, real interesting stuff—the pop culture stuff such as BMX, cruising Van Nuys Boulevard, a lot of the themed restaurants, the movie industry, the famous people that lived here, General Motors, Boeing, things of that nature? “This history keeps getting torn down and pushed aside and built on top of,” he explains. “And our history is not that old to begin with!” So Tommy set about rescuing Valley ephemera

on his own. “I started collecting things along the way like postcards and ashtrays and menus—which I thought was really lame,” he laughs. “I thought it was like stamp collecting. Who would collect a postcard? Like that’s, you know, nothing personal, but that’s something an old person would do. And yet I found myself realizing that the postcard might be the only remaining picture in existence of what the establishment looked like.” He next turned to the internet and started the Valley Relics website, where he quickly built an online community of fellow residents who were also eager to preserve the pop culture history. “Once I started, people started digging into the crates and started to share their photos with me,” he says. As the years passed and his collection grew, Tommy and a group of dedicated volunteers began to hunt for larger relics. One of his first mammoth finds was the sign for the White Horse Inn, a popular restaurant and bar in Van Nuys, which had been a staple of his youth. “You know I used to drive up to that like as a landmark,” he explains. “Like ‘OK, let’s meet at the White Horse Inn!’ In like 1974, us Valley kids, that would be our first stop in our ventures.” One of the biggest “rescues” was the discovery and rehabilitation of the iconic signs

of The Palomino Club of North Hollywood (1949-1996). During the ‘50s and ‘60s, almost every notable country and western artist played at the legendary music venue, including Linda Ronstadt, Waylon Jennings, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. In the ‘70s, The Palomino moved toward rock and roll with performers like Neil Young and Elvis Costello. Tommy longed for the signs, particularly the big one that hung out front. About 10 years ago, he saw it on MySpace, made some calls and got a hint that it was in Woodland Hills and literally started knocking on doors. A few years ago, his hard work paid off. “One day I got a phone call and this guy says, ‘Hey, my name’s Scott, and I might have something you want. I own all the Palomino signs. I rescued them years ago.’ And I called the guy right back and was like ‘Well where are they?’ And he goes, ‘They’re outside, down the street from your museum, go get ‘em.’” There in an outdoor lot, hiding behind pallets and old vending machines, lay the famed signs. “We picked them up and put some new transformers in and redid the neon, and now they light up like they did back in the early ‘50s,” Tommy says proudly. Valley Relics became a nonprofit in 2012 and opened its first location in Chatsworth in 2013. This November they moved into

the much more spacious Van Nuys Airport hangars, where Tommy tackled the artfully designed interiors himself. The space is available to rent for parties and events, and Tommy says throughout the holidays it was booked solid. “It is a no brainer—it’s a total tax write-off,” he quips. Tommy feels like the space finally befits the collection—which will rotate throughout the year. The hangars can only accomodate about a third of his artifacts; the rest are locked away in storage. He says the best thing of all is the community’s enthusiastic response. “Usually Saturday and Sunday, we have about 200 to 300 people who stroll in here,” he says. “People run into their old boyfriend or girlfriends, people they worked with, their bosses. A lot of parents, they come here with their kids. They go, ‘You know, I’ve taken my kids to many museums, but it’s very interesting to see their response to all the colors, the lights, the arcade games, the bikes and learn about the history in the process.’ “That’s the whole point behind the museum,” he smiles. “It is to go look—like there is history here, a lot of history. And we helped shape the nation in so many ways. “There is not another museum like it,” he says—with just the slightest hint of defiance. ■

Graham’s SongBook
In “Our House,” Graham Nash sings about a 1970s morning spent in the Valley. Now on the song’s 50th anniversary, a local publisher is turning it into a charming tome. For years Judy Proffer has cherished one particular piece of framed art in her Encino home: Graham Nash’s hand-written lyrics to “Our House.” She and the musician met years ago through Judy’s husband, music producer Spencer Proffer. “I treasure that piece,” she says. “I love the preciousness of home that the song conveys. Given I’m a publisher [Padaro Press, which she runs with Spencer], it was inevitable that I would want to somehow capture the essence of the song in book form.” With the tune approaching its half-century milestone, Judy felt the timing was right to reach out to Graham. Turns out, he was game. “There was no convincing me. The idea was a great one,” shares Graham. Hugh Syme, who has designed album covers, film posters and logos for Judy’s
24
husband, was brought on board as illustrator, and the project quickly took flight. Even though it was five decades ago, Graham says he clearly remembers the day the song was written. He and singer Joni Mitchell had just shared breakfast at Art’s Deli in Studio City. “We passed an antique store, and Joni saw a small vase that she loved. She bought it, and it was a miserable day when we got into Joni’s car and drove to our house in Laurel Canyon. We went through the front door and I said, ‘Hey Joan, why don’t I light a fire while you put some flowers in the vase you just bought?’” At the time the British native was part of the budding, folk rock band Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. “The days were full of sunshine and music. I felt free for the first time. All I had to do was realize that the sound that David
[Crosby], Stephen [Stills] and I had created when we made our three voices blend into one was about to change my life. My heart told me to follow that sound, and so I did.” The foursome’s first album was Déjà Vu, which arrived in stores in March 1970, topping the charts and generating three hit singles: “Woodstock,” “Teach Your Children” and “Our House.” More than 8 million copies of the album were sold, and it remains the highestselling album of each band member’s career. Graham, who cites “Adagio for Strings” by Samuel Barber as an example of what he likes to listen to these days, raised his three kids in Encino. The singer/songwriter, who is also an accomplished photographer, now lives in New York’s Greenwich Village, which the 76-year-old describes as “filled with art and music all day long.” ■

hen 19-year-old Jacques Heim moved to the U.S. from France in 1983, he was on a quest for something that would give his life meaning. With a love of theater and dance and a passion for architecture, he seemed destined for a life in the arts. Jacques spent the next nine years researching and developing what was to become his raison d’etre and ultimately his life’s work—his theatrical dance company Diavolo—Architecture in Motion. From day one Jacques eschewed dance conventions. He choreographed his first performance piece, Tete en Lair in 1992 with the help of performers drawn not just from dance but gymnastics—and a gigantic wooden staircase. It premiered at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood. And the rest, as they say, is history. Twenty-five years later, Diavolo is one

of the country’s most innovative and successful dance companies. It’s toured extensively throughout the United States and around the globe to sold-out houses. What makes this LA-based company so popular is that it takes audiences on a virtual roller coaster ride. They may not always understand the subtext behind each performance, but they’re drawn in by the visual aesthetics and mesmerizing production values. With highly rigorous choreography, there’s also an inherent element of danger. While his theatrical pieces are abstract in nature, Jacques says they are inspired by his observation of how we live and the challenges of life. “I don’t spend a lot of time in a studio looking in the mirror trying to come up with movement,” he says. “What I do is conduct research. I work with my dancers to investigate how we as humans relate and interact physically, socially and emotionally with our
man-made environment. I explore themes of human struggle, chaos, order, fear, survival, destruction, reconstruction, faith, love and destiny in a modern world. I’m interested in the analysis of us and the human spirit.” In addition to being well-trained, dancers must have a resilient attitude and be willing to take extreme physical risks, like jumping from high places, balancing vicariously atop moving structures and diving off tall platforms with precision timing, into the waiting arms of their fellow performers. “Because I put my dancers in a state of danger, they must work collaboratively, be responsible and trust each other,” he says. “Before every Diavolo performance, we come together in a circle and say out loud to each other, ‘I will die for you.’ If they’re not willing to die for one another, then they don’t belong in Diavolo.” In 2005 Jacques was invited by the
producers of Cirque du Soleil to choreograph KA for the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Considered a masterpiece of storytelling and special effects, it has been seen by more than 1 million spectators and continues to generate huge ticket sales. In 2017 he took on another big challenge when Diavolo appeared on America’s Got Talent and advanced to the finals. Although it did not win the competition, the company got worldwide exposure. Approximately 12 million television viewers typically see the show. Crossing over from the art world into commercial entertainment was somewhat enlightening for the choreographer. Jacques, who lives in Encino with his wife, delights in the fact that he was able to reach a broad audience with art that has meaning and purpose. “Everyone is interested in themes and ideas that affect all of humanity—how we live and what’s important to us.” ■

Tasty Mediterranean fare is just part of the lure at the newly revamped Santuari in Toluca Lake. For more, turn the page...
Courtside Escape Santuari Restaurant, discreetly tucked in a Toluca Lake tennis club, is worth a passing shot. WRITTEN BY KAREN YOUNG

In this restaurant age where the decibel level is often so high you can’t hear yourself think, it’s refreshing to find a place where conversation flows easily over a leisurely drink or a delicious meal. Extra kudos if the setting evokes a relaxed, faraway resort. Remarkably, Santuari Restaurant, located at the Toluca Lake Tennis & Fitness Center, checks those boxes in delightful ways. After a two-year renovation, the beautifully designed eatery opened late last summer. The space has taken on different incarnations over the years, with a Hollywood’s “who’s who” clientele list due to its close proximity to the studios. Although the club is private, Santuari, which means “sanctuary” in Catalan, is open to the public for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Four “rooms” fill the well-designed indoor/outdoor space with a décor sensibility that brings to mind Ibiza, Mallorca and Casablanca. A small bar area leads to the rustic, yet sophisticated main dining room. Tufted vintage-style brown leather couches
surround long wood tables. Cream-colored, leather-studded chairs and booths circle the perimeter, where a wall of glass doors opens to a mod, white patio with aqua accents, overlooking a tennis court. Dramatic architectural elements include three Moroccanstyle arches set into a stone wall that peeks inside a moody “green room,” graced with Moorish lanterns. Perfectly complementing the design is the seasonal California-Mediterranean menu created by executive chef Brendan Mica. A graduate of the former Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, Brendan’s culinary career has taken him to exotic locales around the world, as well as to such well-regarded establishments as Asia de Cuba in New York and Wilshire Restaurant in Los Angeles. From pasta to sauces and desserts—everything is made from scratch. Global flavors run throughout the menu, and each dish is prepared with artistic flourish. Black sea bass ceviche is adorned with edible flower buds; the farm salad is delicately arranged with
lola rosa lettuce, shaved radishes, endive and apple; fresh pesto is combined with spaghetti squash and topped with peppers and a sprinkling of pine nuts; grilled lamb rack is accompanied by Greek yogurt, muhammara, pomegranate and mint gremolata; the red-wine poached pear is covered in crushed pistachios and filled with mascarpone. A specialty cocktail list offers an ode to Hollywood, including the sensational What’s Up Doc, concocted with bourbon, lavender honey, lemon, carrot juice and ginger kombucha. A well-priced boutique wine and champagne list includes Mediterranean varietals. Craft beer is on draft and in bottles. The ambiance is quiet by day and buzzy by night. Close your eyes and pretend the tennis court is the Mediterranean Sea. There’s no harm in dreaming. ■ 6711 Forest Lawn Drive, Toluca Lake 323-902-9700 santuarirestaurant.com

For most of us, being creative was something we did as a child. Whether painting or molding play-doh, it was about being imaginative just for the fun of it. Creativity coach Robin Finn aims to help people get that back. “Making things is how humans learn and grow. When we stop growing, we stagnate,” explains Robin. She says studies show that engaging in creative expression increases our sense of emotional and physical wellbeing, decreases stress and even helps us live longer. After graduating from UCLA, Robin earned a master’s degree from Columbia University and began working at the New York City Department of Health. She married urologist Michael Hyman; the couple had three children and Robin became a stay-at-home mom in Studio City. “I threw myself into raising my three spirited kids and did my best to be conscientious

and involved. But after a decade, I felt overwhelmed, lost and irritable, and I didn’t know why,” Robin recalls. “It’s a common conundrum for parents who spend so much time on the care of the kids that they forget to care for themselves. It’s not a great place to be. Nobody gets a medal for losing themselves in their kids.” She returned to school in 2010 to earn an MA in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. And through that experience, Robin discovered she loved to write. At the age of 47, she published her first novel. “Writing Restless in L.A. gave me an outlet to express myself. It also forced me to ruthlessly re-prioritize my life: 1) family 2) writing 3) everything else. This resulted in my writing career blossoming. With time and perseverance, the novel was published—and my kids saw me do it.”
Making things is how humans learn and grow. When we stop growing, we stagnate.” The book sowed the seed for her next endeavor, an eight-week course she created called “Heart. Soul. Pen.” Through streamof-consciousness style writing, Robin guides students to discover their creative spark. As with her own personal experience in exploring her creative side, students do not know exactly where it will take them or what it will ultimately look like. But that is the beauty of any blossom. ■ For more, check out Robin’s episode on the SheSez with Linda Grasso podcast, available across all platforms—as well as at shesez.com.

thereal yet fiercely intelligent, a giggler who speaks with a slow, soft Valley drawl, Erika Ostrander surprises at nearly every turn. Her art is much the same way. One of her most prolific pieces is an untitled work of discarded human hair woven together on her mother’s old spinning wheel. She got the idea years ago when she was working in a waxing salon, sweeping up hair. “I’m taking the detritus of all these people,” she explains, “which is a material which on your body is sexualized and so connected to the idea or power of femininity or masculinity. Then it’s off the body and it’s this thing we discard, or it’s ‘gross.’ So I’m taking all of it and turning it into a whole again or a connection. It was a way for me to abstractly bring everything together.” A native of Burbank, Erika and her husband, the artist Christian Tedeschi, recently moved back to the Valley after a short sojourn in Highland Park. They now live in an early 20th century stone cottage in Tujunga, somewhat fittingly near the famous McGroarty Art Center. A mixedmedia artist working primarily in sculptures and installations, Erika’s works are spare and elegant, with beauty that belies complex meanings. “As a young artist, I had this idea that I need to instill my will on the art; it’s got to be this way, because this is how I imagined it in my mind,” she explains. “Thinking about working with materials rather than dictating them was a big turning point for me. Because it was more about having a conversation and thinking about the history of the material, where it came from, the different ways the materials are perceived or understood.” Much like the Tujunga Indians who once called the Valley home, Erika has a holistic approach to sourcing materials. “No matter what you’re doing, you are creating so much waste,” she says. “So I wanted to find a way that I could sustain a practice without having to fill up my trash can all the time.” Erika continues to use natural materials, including salt (in which she traces simple drawings), paper scraps, sausage casing and even fingernails, transforming them into artworks, which delight the eye—and make you think. “I’m just trying to take materials that are around us all the time and work with them … in a way that helps us see something in a new way, pay more attention to the nuance of things,” she explains. “Like the salt drawings, one of the amazing things is because salt is living in a way, it reacts to the atmosphere. So depending on if it’s humid or dry, they attract moisture or they’ll dry out. So the tracing is always changing, it’s always evolving. The work is a lot like us, right? It’s always in transition.” The artist is also the exhibition coordinator at California State University, Northridge, where she curates shows featuring students and Valley legends like Jeffery Vallance. Since she moved into her peaceful, wooded new home, Erika has also reconnected with her roots, researching the rich artistic traditions of the area. “The Valley is what I’ve known my entire life,” she says. “It is so diverse, and it has such an interesting history. So much of our history gets hidden. I like the idea of making it seen again.” ■

Discovering art in the most unexpected of places WRITTEN BY HADLEY HALL MEARES
Like a geode, the exteriors of all three of these noteworthy local art galleries may look ordinary, but inside they are filled with colorful, innovative works from some of the best artists in SoCal—as well as some of the most rare collectibles in the world. For 10 years the surprisingly spacious and eclectic La Galeria Gitana in San Fernando, hidden from the street at 120 North Maclay Avenue, has offered engaging opportunities and educational experiences to enrich and expand artistic life in the Valley. The fine art gallery mounts new exhibits every six to eight weeks. Local artists, including Merrilyn Duzy, Ellen Rundle, Marian Fortunati, Karen Hansen, Ben Levin and Jerry Cowart, are frequent contributors. As part of the gallery’s mission, owner Angela Phillips formed a 501(c) 3 called ARTreach91340, which offers art classes and workshops to Valley residents of all ages. If classic movies and music are more your speed, check out L’Imagerie Gallery at 10555 Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood. From the outside you might mistake it for a large industrial warehouse. But inside is a wonderland of rare original movie and music posters from all over the world. Owner Debi Jacobson also displays and sells pop surrealistic artwork from art stars like Mark Ryden, Robert Williams, Todd Schorr, Audrey Kawasaki, Amy Sol and Lori Earley. The gallery is open by appointment only. For fans of the madcap and macabre, there’s Hyena Gallery at 1928 West Olive Avenue in Burbank. Amidst proprietor Bill Shafer’s full-service florist and gift shop, he showcases lowbrow and underground outsider art, which is often both humorous—and horrifying. Not only does Hyena represent edgy artists including Gidget Gein, Hollie Stevens and Nicolas Caesar, it also offers original artwork by serial killers Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy and David Berkowitz. But don’t run the other way. Bill tempers all the freakiness by being one of the friendliest gallery owners you’ll ever meet. ■

Donna Scott has lived in some amazing properties throughout her life. After the actress married the late moviemaker Tony Scott (Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, Days of Thunder), the couple and their twin sons lived at the historic Bella Vista estate in Beverly Hills. The sprawling, red-roofed, Spanish Colonial compound was actor John Barrymore’s (grandfather to Drew) home from 1927 until his death in 1942. By then the property had expanded to seven acres and 16 structures, including a famous aviary with stained glass windows. The Scott family also spent time at their Malibu beachfront house in the exclusive Colony enclave. Everything changed when Tony died in 2012. “The twins, who were then 12-years-old, were attending Oakwood at the time, and they really wanted to live in the Valley, so we started looking,” Donna explains. The Scott boys got super excited when they saw a 12,000-squarefoot, Mediterranean-style home, tucked up in the hills of Encino, that was formerly owned by actor Kevin James (King of Queens). “Aside from them loving it, what really sold me on the house was the kitchen,” says Donna. The centerpiece of the large space is a freestanding structure comprised of four, massive, Le Corneau copper ranges; two

are electric and two are gas-operated. “On the holidays we have all four of those ovens going and it’s fantastic!” The L-shaped mansion, located at the end of a cul-de-sac, has five bedrooms and nine bathrooms and sprawls across nearly two acres. Every room is filled with art collected from the couple’s travels around the world over the course of their nearly 18-year marriage. “Tony had a master’s degree in art. I learned so much from him. Funny fact: My favorite piece showed up crated in the foyer at our family home in Beverly Hills. He had purchased it somewhere while shooting a movie and sent it home as a present. I was upset because the painting was huge and we had no walls left. Tony said, ‘We’ll put it over the tub in the master bathroom, and that’s what we did!” Donna recalls.
Once the Encino property was purchased, Bella Vista was put on the market. Donna packed as much as she could into their new digs and put the rest in storage. Formal living and dining rooms flank the double-height foyer, where a curved staircase ascends to the upper level bedrooms. Décor is a combination of traditional and modern (“transitional”) with Art Deco influences. Donna’s late husband’s antique clock collection is thoughtfully placed throughout, and oil paintings hang from nearly every wall. “I love the stories that are conveyed in the Old Masters pieces. They are all so different. And I love the moods that they can make me feel when I take the time to stop what I’m doing and take them in. I do

that from time to time! I often look at my home and reflect on my life and take the time to have a little prayer of gratitude,” the North Carolina native shares. An eye-catching color palette of jewel tones ties the various rooms together—from the multi-colored, leather chairs around the kitchen table to the living room’s deep purple velvet sofa. “I intentionally utilized colors that I felt created the best vibe for each environment. When we bought the house, there were already neutral colors on the walls, which created a warm palette for me to work with,” says Donna, who took on the project without the help of an interior designer. The solar-powered structure also includes a state-of-the-art home theater, a spa with a glassed-in steam room, a billiards room and a second-floor fitness center that spans nearly 1,500 square feet. Numerous covered patios, terraces and balconies on both floors seamlessly connect the indoor living spaces to the resort-style backyard, complete with a built-in fire pit, swimming pool, pergola-shaded outdoor kitchen and flat lawn. Despite all the places to hang out, like many of us, Donna spends much of her time in the kitchen, facing the backyard, with her two dogs nearby and the sound of her chirping “lovebirds” as background noise. “I love to sit at the center island with my computer. It’s just really peaceful and cozy. Cozy is what I really like.” With the kids (now 19) away at college, Donna keeps busy with projects of her own. She is currently co-producing a musical movie, Zombie Broadway, based on the graphic novel by Dave Stewart, from the Eurythmics. The boys (both film majors), along with their mom, have recently formed a production company (Twin Adrenaline) and hope that Zombie Broadway will be their first project after the twins graduate. ■

or more than four decades estate broker associate Carol Wolfe has assisted clients in buying and selling properties throughout the San Fernando Valley. She is a licensed broker, a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), e-Pro, Architectural Specialist, Luxury Home Specialist and Certified Negotiator. In 2018 Carol had a record-breaking year as the #1 individual agent for Rodeo Realty in the entire San Fernando Valley. She was also recognized in 2018 for ranking among the top 250 agents in the nation as featured in Real Trends’ “The Thousand” and The Wall Street Journal. Carol is an active member of the Encino Chamber of Commerce and supports the local community. Providence Tarzana Medical Center is investing $540 million to build a new state-of-the-art hospital, and Carol was asked to serve on the committee of real estate industry experts for what will be the largest health care construction project ever in the San Fernando Valley. WHAT’S NEW IN YOUR BUSINESS? “Clients can download my new real estate app to search for houses or check neighborhood values. You also get free access to all local listings! To get the app, go to app.rodeore.com/RODEOV9K and either enter your phone number or email address, or scan the QR code on your smartphone or tablet.” WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE THE BEST IN THE REAL ESTATE BUSINESS? “What I bring to the table is outstanding client representation, detailed market knowledge and high-tech marketing solutions. I have always been on the cutting edge of technology. I am very good at
negotiating the best price for my clients and great at problem-solving. Another thing that makes me successful is the great relationships I have with other Realtors®. I’m known to be very cooperative and easy to work with.” WHAT TREND IS DEFINING THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY TODAY? “Transactions have gotten more complex over the years, and there are often many difficulties. Many of my clients have expressed a desire to work with me because they trust that things will be handled with expertise and the utmost professionalism. My clients often include referrals from business managers, attorneys, CPAs, real estate agents and past clients.” WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE POTENTIAL CLIENTS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? “I will take good care of them; they have chosen the best agent in the area. I will work relentlessly to make sure my clients get the best possible results. My slogan is ‘Nobody Does it Better.’ For more than four decades I have been striving to provide clients with an unparalleled level of service—based on integrity, honesty and a commitment to excellence.” WHAT’S MOST REWARDING ABOUT YOUR WORK? “The many friendships I’ve made. To have clients thank me for a job well done and refer me to their friends and families is the best reward. Following are some examples.” “I cannot thank Carol enough for the help and support that she has given me and my family to get our dream home and sell our previous home. I have grown so fond of Carol that she is now included
on our guest list for all events we host at our home. Carol has been a positive impact on our lives, and we are grateful to have met and have been able to work with her.” — Adam Tarlow “Thank you so much for your remarkable assistance in selling my home. Your insight to the market was excellent. Your advice was spot on, and you and your associates were active and helpful throughout the term of the sale. I absolutely cannot believe how seamless it was and that I received so many offers above the asking price. You truly are the best!” — Katie Kusske “My wife and I have sold two houses in Encino over the past year, and we used Carol for both sales. The most recent house we sold attracted no less than 10 signed offers after Carol launched an awesome marketing campaign. We eventually accepted an offer for $100,000 over the asking price—with no loan contingency! The entire sale was effortless, smooth and went exactly as Carol predicted. If you are ever considering selling your house, Carol is the agent to use.” — Robin Chorn, MD “Thank you so much for the great job you did with the sale of my dad’s home. Before he passed, he was adamant that he wanted you to perform the sale due to your expertise in the Encino area. And now having seen your efficiency and the dedication that your team gave to the process, I know that we received the benefit of his wisdom.” — John C. Jay

he Chernov Team in Studio City, owned by Dennis Chernov, closed more than $214 million in sales last year and was ranked by The Wall Street Journal as #6 in L.A. County out of 1.25 million agents. Dennis started his career in real estate at age 16 and joined Keller Williams Realty full-time in 2008. He lives in the Valley with his wife and two sons. WHY SHOULD CLIENTS PLACE THEIR TRUST IN YOU? “To put it simply, we care. No details are missed. From before the property is listed to when it’s on the market and all the way through the escrow period, we make sure our clients are updated every step of the way. Real estate is a referral-based business, and the first step in getting a referral is making sure your current clients are completely satisfied from the beginning to the end.” HOW DOES YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE IN THE VALLEY BENEFIT CLIENTS? “Focusing on selling real estate in one area allows me to be knowledgeable, updated on the most recent market activity and to anticipate what is happening next. I am a true area expert and specialist. Every city is unique, and the agent you choose should be a master in that specific area.” WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER? “My proudest career highlight has got to be the growth I’ve experienced, coming out of a long career in loan business, starting as a single agent in the beginning of 2008 and now growing into the top team in the San Fernando Valley—doing nearly twice as
much as any other agent in the area.” HOW HAS THE JOB OF BEING A REALTOR CHANGED IN RECENT YEARS? “Technology has advanced so much in the last few years, and buyers and sellers are becoming more savvy and selfsufficient. Realtors have to keep up with the latest trends and constant continued education.” WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE VALLEY? “One of my favorite neighborhoods in Studio City is the neighborhood of Beeman Park between Whitsett and Coldwater. It holds homes with large lots, great walkability to Ventura and access to a fantastic, quiet residential park.” GIVEN THE LOW INVENTORY HERE, HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT SOURCING HOMES FOR BUYERS? “We have great community connections as well as great relationships with agents in the area that control similar listings. In addition, we reach out directly through mail, email and in person. We use every platform available to meet our clients’ needs.” HOW DO YOU STAY COMPETITIVE IN YOUR INDUSTRY? “Our team has given extra focus to marketing. We feel that staying ahead of the game in all social media aspects has really given us a competitive edge in our industry. We have our own branding, marketing and social media teams to keep us ahead of the curve and to make sure we have some of the best marketing in the country … and our follower count on social media shows this is true!”
WHAT ARE YOUR TEAM’S SPECIFIC AREAS OF EXPERTISE? “We specialize in Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Toluca Lake, Valley Village and Encino. We are ranked #1 in these areas for production, volume and sales.” WHAT ARE THE BEST REASONS TO CONSIDER A REFINANCE? “One great reason to refinance is if you know you will be selling. It will allow you to pull out an equity loan to remodel and increase the home’s value. Another great reason is to lower your interest rate or shorten your amortization to a 10-, 15- or 20-year loan and pay off the home faster.” WHAT IS YOUR MISSION STATEMENT? “Our team mission statement is Integrity, Energy, Commitment and Results. Integrity: We care for our clients wholeheartedly and believe that telling the truth is always the best way to go. Energy: Energy is contagious; when your energy is positive and people believe in one another, good things happen. Commitment: Real estate is all about relationships, and like any relationship, commitment is key. We make sure we fully understand our clients’ needs and work hard to meet those. Results: Hard work brings great results. We give our all as if your home is our own.” HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH WORKRELATED STRESS? “One of my favorite ways to relieve stress is by working out—whether it’s a morning boxing class or an afternoon run. Another great stress reliever is spending time with my wife and kids.”

THE SPITZ | CAMERON GROUP
T
he Spitz | Cameron group includes Realtors Andrew Spitz and Harriet Cameron, who welcome new partner Fran Chavez. Fran brings 30+ years of experience and more than $750 million in sales volume to the team. Harriet and Andrew have worked together in real estate for more than 25 years. The trio specializes in the Ventura Boulevard Corridor from Toluca Lake to Westlake Village and the Westside. WHY SHOULD CLIENTS PLACE THEIR TRUST IN YOUR TEAM? “Integrity and strong customer service skills. We don’t just help clients buy and sell houses; we cultivate relationships with our clients that go far beyond closing their deals, which is why we have such a strong referral business. We are backed by a dedicated team of licensed agents that includes a marketing director, social media director, listing director, showing coordinator, executive assistant and buyer’s agent. We have developed a strong network of vendors and tradespeople, allowing us to provide both buyers and sellers with the support they need from prior to listing until well after they have closed.” HOW DOES YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE IN THE VALLEY BENEFIT CLIENTS? “We love where we work, which is why we also live in the neighborhood. Andrew and Fran are lifelong residents of the area. Andrew was born, raised, attended schools, lives and works in Encino—giving him the
ability to remember the history of homes, owners and remodels on any given block. Their knowledge of the areas and inventory are unmatched assets for their clients.” HOW HAS THE JOB OF BEING A REALTOR CHANGED IN RECENT YEARS? “The rise of technology and the internet have made it easier for buyers to have a handle on the MLS inventory, which is why it is so important that we maintain a strong relationship with a large network of agents and know what pocket listings are available.” HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH WORKRELATED STRESS? “It is important to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal time, and one of the best ways to deal with work-related stress is exercise! In addition to snow skiing, Harriet is an avid hiker, while Fran is an incredible golfer and tennis player. Andrew is the all-around sports enthusiast and starts most mornings with a private trainer along with spin/yoga classes and loves to scuba dive when possible.” GIVEN THE LOW INVENTORY HERE, HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT SOURCING HOMES FOR BUYERS? “Information is key in this business. We are constantly networking with business managers, attorneys, builders, tradespeople and building strong relationships with other Realtors to provide the connections for our clients they normally would not have access to. In addition, we research
the active MLS inventory available and maintain an active list of off-market and pre-MLS properties.” HOW DO YOU STAY COMPETITIVE? “It is important to be current on market trends, new technology developments and general real estate and lender news. We participate in peer networking groups, have an active social media presence and are constantly taking classes/seminars to stay in the top of our field.” WHAT ARE YOUR AGENCY’S SPECIFIC AREAS OF EXPERTISE? “Residential properties are our specialty, and with our extensive knowledge of the inventory our clients range from first-time home buyers to investors and seasoned luxury property owners.” HOW DO YOU GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY? “We are active supporters of several charities that are near and dear to our hearts including the ASPCA, American Cancer Society and—on a local level— Friends of Lanai Elementary booster club. All closed transactions include a donation to our company’s own charitable foundation, which provides support to countless local charities.”

CRAIG STRONG CRAIG STRONG LUXURY REAL ESTATE
A
native New Yorker, Craig Strong relocated to Los Angeles to become a property investor. He transitioned to the field of real estate more than 18 years ago and today he works as a Realtor with Compass. Craig has held positions on The Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council, the Toluca Lake Homeowners Association and co-chaired the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce and Neighborhood Watch. WHY SHOULD CLIENTS PLACE THEIR TRUST IN YOU? “Experience is what sets me apart from other agents. As a buyer or seller, you want to work with an agent with knowledge and experience. Every real estate deal is different, and many issues arise that you never expect. You want to work with an agent who has firsthand experience in navigating every issue—no matter how big or small. When you do a large volume of transactions, you aren’t relying on just one transaction to close. If a house doesn’t work for a buyer, it’s okay to move on to the next one and take your time to find your client something that really fits their needs. When working with sellers, we always disclose everything about the home and go the extra mile to find them the buyer that is best suited for their property.” WHAT DID IT FEEL LIKE TO OPEN YOUR OFFICE IN TOLUCA LAKE? “It felt amazing! I moved to Toluca Lake 16 years ago and love living here. I eventually found our current office space, and I couldn’t be happier. I put all my time
and energy into this community, and I am proud to do it.” WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER? “When you do real estate for this long, you have the opportunity to sell some amazing properties. Every now and then an iconic property comes along, like the Bob Hope estate. I always thought it was cool that a legend like Bob Hope lived in my neighborhood, and I was incredibly moved to be selected as the listing agent to sell his estate. Closing the sale of that property this past year was such an extraordinary moment for me and will always be one of the most cherished of my career.” HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH CLIENT STRESS AS THE MARKET IS CHANGING? “As the market changes, you get pushback from both sellers and buyers. Many sellers are holding onto sales data from two or three years ago and unrealistically believe that their property can still sell at those prices. On the other hand, many buyers feel they may be overpaying when they hear about a potential downturn in the market. There is skill involved in bringing the two parties together and making them both feel comfortable with the deal in hand. It is important to understand your client’s goals. Does a seller want to hold onto their property until there is a change in the market or adjust the game plan according to the current market? Does a buyer want to sell in the next year or live there for a long period of time? Once you know those answers,
then you know the game plan/strategy.” WHEN YOU MOVED TO CALIFORNIA, DID YOU THINK YOU WOULD REACH THIS LEVEL OF SUCCESS? “I never dreamed of reaching my current level of success. When I first moved to Southern California, I had never even been here before. I packed up everything and drove cross-country from New York in an old Volkswagen Jetta. Fortunately everything worked out for the best. This is where I met my wife, had my kids and started my business. Everything fell into place, and I feel extremely grateful.” WHAT IS IT LIKE HAVING A TEAM? “Having a team is tricky. I have cycled through a few different team members in the past couple of years, and I finally feel like I have the right people by my side. It’s hard bringing personalities together and making it work because everybody needs to click in a small space. It is amazing when all the pieces come together and you find the perfect group.” WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2019? “Every year I look forward to the same thing: selling great homes, meeting new clients and new friends, and building my real estate family. You can’t control how many transactions you do in the new year, and that has never been my goal. My goal has always been to work my hardest for my clients, support my community, play as much golf as possible and be there for my own family.”

SCOTT MORRIS SRM REAL ESTATE GROUP
A
s a lifelong resident of the San Fernando Valley and founder of SRM Real Estate Group, Scott Morris offers more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and mortgage brokerage industry, with transaction volume exceeding $1 billion. Type 1 diabetes (T1D) advocacy and assisting in the efforts to find a cure became one of Scott’s personal missions after his son’s diagnosis. To align this individual passion with his work, Scott was inspired to transform his business model to one that includes social purpose. Scott sits on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Los Angeles Chapter and is a cycling coach in their Ride-to-Cure program. When he’s not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and children, Ryan and Katie. HOW DID SRM REAL ESTATE GROUP EVOLVE INTO A COMPANY WITH A SOCIAL PURPOSE? “It began as part of my commitment to advocate on behalf of the T1D community. As I shared my family’s T1D story, I was surprised to discover how many people were willing to share their own story about the causes and charities they support. In many cases, people I had known for years were sharing their struggles with me for the first time. I became convinced that businesses of all sizes can play a role in addressing social needs, and I was determined to find a way for my company to contribute.” SO WHAT DID YOU DO? “I decided to emphasize purpose over profits. My focus became how to deliver
a better and more affordable way to find, buy, finance and sell homes. I moved away from the traditional, one-size-fits-all commission model in favor of flat fee pricing and buyer rebates. Our core strategy shifted to saving our clients tens of thousands of dollars and saving them valuable time, so together we can make a social impact. Our clients can use their savings to fund things that matter to them, including the charity of their choice. Additionally, SRM Real Estate Group makes a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and to whichever charity our client chooses. In those cases where our client does not have a preference, we introduce them to nonprofits doing meaningful work in our community.” CAN YOU SHARE SOME OF THE CHARITIES THAT HAVE BENEFITTED FROM YOUR MODEL? “Recent beneficiaries include: weSPARK Cancer Support Center, Journey House, Alzheimer’s Association, Best Friends Animal Society, The Michael J. Fox Foundation and Union Rescue Mission.” WHAT TRENDS DEFINE THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY TODAY? “The industry is in the midst of a significant shift. New business models fueled by enormous amounts of capital and gamechanging technology are challenging the traditional residential real estate brokerage model that has dominated the industry for decades. Ultimately, I believe everyone will win because innovation and dynamic change that benefits the consumer is good
for our industry.” WHAT DO YOU THINK THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY WILL LOOK LIKE IN THE COMING YEARS? “Firms will need to evolve. They must examine the value proposition they offer to ensure it is relevant to today’s more informed and connected consumer. Consumers will drive the change and ultimately determine what the industry looks like because they will choose to do business with the brands that offer the most value at a fair price while delivering a higher quality consumer experience. We may arrive at a sort of hybrid model that will not be one-size-fits-all. Tiered-pricing solutions, flat fees and a suite of valueadded services—such as mortgage brokerage and planning services for buyers—will likely become more prevalent.” WHAT’S ON THE HORIZON FOR SRM REAL ESTATE GROUP? “As a team we will continue to emphasize purpose over profits with a focus on creating partnerships that promote social good. My hope is that we will be known as the leading social impact real estate brokerage and mortgage planning firm in the communities we serve. Our primary success metrics will be how much money we are saving our clients and how much money we are directing to our charitable partners. In this way we will fulfill our firm’s value proposition: When you partner with SRM Real Estate Group, you will save money, save time, and together we can save lives.”

s an agent and managing partner of The Agency’s Sherman Oaks and Calabasas offices, Michelle Schwartz has achieved more in nine years than your average real estate agent. She is a native of Beverly Hills, having attended Beverly Hills High School and USC. She previously owned her own PR and marketing firm. HOW HAS THE JOB OF BEING A REALTOR CHANGED IN RECENT YEARS? “In this ever-increasing digital age of real estate, buyers and sellers conduct preemptive research online regarding real estate brokerages—and, more specifically, their agents. This amplifies the importance of a strong online presence. Presence on online platforms is equally as important and reflective of who you are as an agent. You must not only be able to market a property effectively but yourself as well! I have internalized this shift by providing an amazing amount of customer service while becoming not only a resource for all things lifestyle-based but also an advocate for my clients on all levels. Whether a $700,000 client or a $6 million client, the service is always the same.”

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE POTENTIAL CLIENTS TO KNOW ABOUT THE SAFFRON | WILSON GROUP? “The SAFFRON | WILSON Group offers concierge service and elegant, customized programs to achieve our clients’ real estate goals. We work to exceed our clients’ expectations and to build relationships that last. There is no higher compliment than repeat business and our clients’ referrals to family and friends.”

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT WORK? Dana: “I enjoy walking in the beautiful neighborhoods near my home in Sherman Oaks, as well as cooking for my family and friends. My husband and I have four adult children.” Joie: “I love art, getting lost in a good book, travel, and fine wine and food. I live with my husband and two dogs in Studio City.”

WHAT ARE YOUR SPECIFIC AREAS OF EXPERTISE? “Sellers are becoming more aware of the limits of the ‘neighborhood specialist,’ as trust and protection are often missing with these volume producers. My clients work with me because I care about them. I can be selling a client’s house in Valley Village while simultaneously negotiating their purchase in Culver City. Last year I sold homes from Pacific Palisades to Venice, from Calabasas to Altadena. My dedication and knowledge has no boundaries.”

Although the industry is competitive, I am competing against myself and not against other agents. I put all of my attention into servicing my clients while anticipating future market shifts. My ability to market and bring confidence to a transaction is what truly adds value, and thus I do not view clients as a one-time transaction but as a client for life.”

DIRECTOR, LUXURY ESTATES | THE AGENCY
A
fter working as a successful lawyer, Realtor Andrea Korchek transitioned to the field of real estate 18 years ago and has specialized in selling luxury Los Angeles real estate with The Agency for nearly two years. Andrea has three grown children—two of whom are Type 1 diabetics. Finding a cure for juvenile diabetes is a cause she is passionate about; she and her family team recently raised more than $20,000 at a local fundraiser. HOW DO YOU STAY COMPETITIVE IN YOUR INDUSTRY? “I am energetic and enthusiastic and will stop at nothing to be the best. I also have a unique set of skills that contribute to my success. On the deal-making side, my past experience as a business litigation attorney makes me an at-ease, effective negotiator and proficient in drafting and interpreting contracts. I avoid problems because I foresee them. On the marketing side, I have a trained eye in design and an eagerness to exploit the latest technologies and platforms, implementing a beautiful and robust marketing plan with maximum local and international exposure for each of my properties. I have great relationships with my colleagues and can use those relationships to achieve my clients’ objectives. I work tirelessly to obtain the highest offers and find the best values, and I keep in constant communication with my clients—giving them straightforward and insightful information from which they can make informed decisions.” WHAT ARE YOUR TWO BEST QUALITIES? “My two best qualities are IQ and EQ. Being quick and smart really helps in this business, but smart isn’t what sets great agents apart—it’s enjoying and understanding people and finding true joy in satisfying their needs and objectives. Unlike other major investments, a home is not commodity; a home is uniquely personal. I attribute my success to insight, judgment and empathy. I love what I do and am proud to be trusted by my colleagues, respected by my competitors and wholeheartedly recommended by my clients.” WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER? “I was just given The Agency’s 2018 MVP award. Surrounded by successful, hard-working agents whom I admire and respect, this was an incredible honor and a definite career milestone.”

Terms, conditions and fees of accounts, programs, products and services are subject to change. This is not a commitment to lend. All loans are subject to credit and property approval. Certain restrictions may apply on all programs. Offer cannot be combined with any other mortgage offer. This offer contains information about U.S. domestic financial services provided by Citibank, N.A. and is intended for use domestically in the U.S. 1 Available for clients with a minimum of $500,000 or more in investable post-close assets, and at least $50,000 in traditional assets must be on deposit with Citi at least 10 days prior to closing. This amount may be part of the $500,000 eligibility requirement. Real estate, loan proceeds, stock options, restricted stock and personal property will not be counted as part of the $500,000 or more investable post-close assets or the $50,000 in traditional assets. Net cash value of life insurance can be counted as part of the $500,000 but not part of the traditional assets. Investable assets are defined as deposit accounts (checking, savings, money market, Certificates of Deposit), unrestricted stocks, non-vested stock and restricted stock, bonds and retirement accounts held by the individual who is personally liable on the loan. These asset types held in revocable trust may be used provided the trust document meets the Trust Policy. 100% of the face value of all assets, except non-vested stock and restricted stock, may be used to calculate the amount of funds available to meet the eligibility criteria. For non-vested stock and restricted stock, the borrower must be 100% vested within 1 year of closing and a maximum of 70% of value may be used to calculate qualifying equity. Additional conditions apply. 2 A Citibank deposit account and automated monthly transfers of the mortgage payment from a Citibank personal deposit account using automated drafting will be required to receive Citibank mortgage Relationship Pricing. Ask a Mortgage Representative for details on eligible balances and the qualifying closing cost credit or rate discount. Availability of the Citibank mortgage Relationship Pricing for Citibank account holders is subject to change without notice. 3 Final commitment is subject to verification of information, receipt of a satisfactory sales contract on the home you wish to purchase, appraisal and title report, and meeting our customary closing conditions. There is no charge to receive a SureStart Pre-approval. However, standard application and commitment fees will apply for the mortgage loan application. © 2018 Citibank, N.A. NMLS# 412915. One of our Own VB photographer Shane O’Donnell channels his artistic talents into one of the Valley’s most iconic signs.
As both a photographer and a painter, Shane O’Donnell is inspired by Americana, like this sign he discovered along the Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. “A friend suggested I visit the Valley to find cool things to paint. So one Sunday I grabbed my camera and my daughter, and we drove up from the Southbay for a scout. This sign was actually the first one we spotted that day.” Shane was attracted to its 1960s vibe “and the angles creating what I see as a dynamic shape, anchored by the light pole. I like mundane things that can ultimately be seen as art. I think that many overlooked things, if viewed in the right light and given an interesting framing, are worthy of artistic contemplation.” Sure he could have simply shot them with his camera. But that’s just not Shane. “A simple photograph would seem flat and uninteresting; it simply could not connote the enthusiasm I feel for it. I view the sign as a pseudo-realistic impression of what it once was—glimmering, shining and welcoming.” ■ “Delicatessen” is a 36 x 36 acrylic on canvas. For more of Shane’s work, go to theshanegallery.com.
