Maz Marzec - Visual Artist Branding/Identity Brief: Create a strong visual identity for Maz Marzec, a recent graduate of Fine Art based in Huddersfield.

Background: The primary focus of Maz’s work is on portraiture, although she creates a wide variety of work using oil or acrylic paint. She regularly takes on commissions, which is important factor to consider when designing her identity.

Very soon Maz’s work will be in sale at the markets in Leeds, and therefore this is a crucial message to convey alongside the usual details present on personalised stationary. Her web presence will soon be going live and therefore the deliverables must be able to extend across multiple formats.

Identity Development After working on several potential designs, Maz decided that this was her preferred outcome. After initially attempting a design based on her brush stroke styles, it seemed became evident that a logo consisting of stronger features would be more effective and impressionable.
The two varied designs allow the chance for additional detail at a larger scale with regards to the paint brush. At a smaller scale, the paint brush can be removed, allowing the logo to remain effective on items such as business cards.

Deliverables The logo is applied across several formats including business cards, invoices and promotional flyers.

Extensions The website has been designed to appear consistent with the printed material, and acts as a destination as it contains Maz’s online portfolio. Alongside this are some posters that can be distributed at public locations throughout the local communities.
