COURSE PROSPECTUS

WELCOME TO MOORE COLLEGE

Welcome to Moore College. We are thrilled you are seriously considering studying with us.

Moore College is committed to preparing men and women as effectively as possible for life and ministry in today’s world. The various parts of College life (the program of study together with the opportunities for informal learning and for the service of each other) are all vital parts of this preparation.

We learn together as part of a community of faith and discipleship. We provide study in a variety of modes (online, part-time, full-time) but the core ministry preparation we provide is full-time and face-to-face precisely because Christian ministry is full-time and faceto-face. Mentoring, pastoral care, and the practice of ministry go hand in hand with instruction and research here at Moore College.

What a wonderful privilege it is to be studying God’s word together and preparing to share his amazing grace with the world. I hope that this Course Information Guide will provide both a snapshot of the College and some useful information as you consider your next step. However, the greatest resource of the College is its people. Please do not hesitate to ask the faculty, staff, or our students about any aspect of College life.

May God richly bless you as you prepare with us to take the gospel to the nations and to play your part in building up his people.

Biblical – the Bible is at the centre of everything we do. We read the text in depth, understand it in light of the unfolding message of Scripture as a whole, and learn to teach what it teaches.

Theological – we train students to think theologically. This means understanding how everything connects to God and his great plan so that we enable our graduates to apply biblical truth to any current and future situation.

Reformed-Evangelical – the Bible’s good news is that salvation comes through Christ alone, grounded in grace alone, leading to justification by faith alone, on the authority of Scripture alone, all to the glory of God alone. Everything we do is characterised by this gospel.

Missional – the global mission of the Lord Jesus Christ drives everything we do. We prepare men and women to faithfully proclaim the gospel of salvation and new life in Christ throughout the world.

Communal – we are committed to ministry education and character formation based on learning in community. Formal learning is just the beginning: we are shaped as Christian disciples, as we do life together in community.
